    Facility Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Delegating cleaning and maintenance tasks to team members
    • Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces
    • Performing routine maintenance on facilities and making repairs as needed

    Head, Quality Control Assurance

    Job Summary

    • The Head, Quality Control and Assurance is responsible for the strategic direction, leadership, and overall management of the Quality Department, ensuring the organization’s products consistently meet regulatory standards and internal quality expectations.
    • This role will drive compliance with local (NAFDAC) and international (WHO, EU GMP, FDA, ISO) standards, foster a culture of continuous quality improvement, and safeguard product integrity from development through commercialization.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide strategic leadership for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with cGMP and ISO standards.
    • Ensure company-wide compliance with regulatory requirements (NAFDAC, WHO, EU GMP, FDA, ISO 9001, etc.), overseeing inspections, audits, and certifications.
    • Lead and coordinate all internal and external audits, including regulatory inspections, supplier audits, and customer audits. Ensure timely closure of audit findings.
    • Oversee QA and QC operations, including batch release, in-process control, raw material and finished product testing, documentation control, and deviation management.
    • Champion risk-based thinking and lead root cause analysis investigations with effective implementation of Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, R&D, Regulatory Affairs, Engineering, and Supply Chain to ensure alignment on quality objectives and product lifecycle management.
    • Manage quality metrics (KPIs), trend analysis, and reporting to senior management; identify performance gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Mentor, train, and develop quality team members to build organizational capability and maintain a high-performing quality culture.
    • Oversee validation and qualification processes (process, cleaning, equipment, and analytical method validation).
    • Serve as the quality liaison to regulatory agencies and partners on matters of compliance and quality assurance e.t.c.

    Academic Qualifications and Skills

    • Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Microbiology, or related life science discipline; a Master’s degree or MBA will be an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 10–15 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical QA/QC, with at least 5 years in a senior or departmental leadership role.
    • Age bracket - within 40- 55 years.
    • Deep knowledge of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Good Laboratory Practice (GLP), and international regulatory frameworks (NAFDAC, WHO PQ, EU GMP, ISO 9001).
    • Proven experience managing inspections from regulatory bodies (e.g., NAFDAC, WHO, FDA).
    • Demonstrated leadership, communication, and change management skills.
    • Proficiency in QMS software, LIMS, deviation tracking, and document management systems.
    • Membership in professional bodies is required while relevant certifications (e.g., ISO Lead Auditor, Six Sigma, QP eligibility) will be an added advantage.

    • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
    • First Aid or Child Protection Certification (or willingness to obtain) is preferred.
