    Manager, Regional Territory - Operations

    Role Summary

    • Husk is seeking the Regional Territory Manager is responsible for end-to-end operations of solar mini-grid sites within the assigned territory, ensuring reliable power supply to customers, operational excellence, revenue protection, customer satisfaction, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
    • This position provides the opportunity to join a growing team that is changing the face of rural electrification in Nigeria and Asia.

    Key Responsibilities
    Power Supply & Plant Operations:

    • Ensure 24x7 reliable power supply to customers across all mini-grid sites in the territory.
    • Monitor plant performance (generation, battery health, inverter performance).
    • Ensure adherence to SLA, uptime, and availability targets.
    • Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
    • Oversee commissioning, testing, and handover of new sites.

    Customer Power Supply & Service Management:

    • Ensure consistent and quality power supply to residential, commercial, and anchor customers.
    • Address customer complaints related to power outages, voltage issues, or metering.
    • Coordinate with customer support teams to resolve escalations.
    • Support new customer connections, load upgrades, and demand expansion.
    • Ensure customer satisfaction and retention.

    Revenue Protection & Energy Accounting:

    • Ensure accurate energy generation, consumption, and billing reconciliation.
    • Monitor losses, theft, bypass, or meter tampering.
    • Support collections and revenue assurance initiatives.
    • Coordinate with finance for reconciliation of energy, revenue, and fuel (if hybrid).

     Safety, Compliance & Quality:

    • Ensure compliance with HSE, electrical safety, and operational SOPs.
    • Conduct safety audits and toolbox talks.
    • Ensure regulatory and statutory compliance at site level.
    • Maintain documentation, reports, and audit readiness.

     Asset & Inventory Management:

    • Oversee inventory of spares, tools, batteries, and consumables.
    • Coordinate with warehouse and procurement teams for material availability.
    • Ensure proper asset tagging and lifecycle management.

    Reporting & Stakeholder Coordination:

    • Prepare and share daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
    • Track KPIs such as uptime, outages, customer complaints, and revenue.
    • Coordinate with internal teams (Engineering, Finance, Procurement, Customer Service).
    • Act as the primary point of contact for regional operational matters.
    • Responsible for managing and ensuring security standards at the plant and enable quick turnaround time for action in case of security issues.
    • Responsible for management of spares and inventory components based on criticality and lifecycle of the components.
    • Responsible for managing fuel supply chain and stock for Diesel generators and Biomass gasifiers.

    Qualifications
    General Skills & Attributes:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical / Mechanical / Renewable Energy Engineering.
    • 5 - 8 years of experience in solar mini-grids, power distribution, or utility operations.
    • Strong understanding of solar PV, batteries (Li-ion/Lead Acid), inverters, EMS, and distribution networks.
    • Experience managing remote or rural power infrastructure preferred.
    • Experience working in dynamic high-growth entrepreneurial/start-up organizations.
    • Team player and prior experience in the management of large, decentralized teams.
    • Very proactive, with deep commercial acumen, and high level of “customer centricity”
    • Problem-solving ability and prior experience in the management of mass-scale deployments with digital platforms.
    • You have no issues working in (and living around) rural Nigeria.

    Location and Travel:

    • This role is based in Jos,Plataeu, Nigeria with regular travel to Husk Mini grid and other operational locations.

    Director - Product Marketing

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Product Marketing Manager to drive Husk’s Product.
    • This role requires a versatile individual with 8-10 years of hands-on experience in cross-functional product and marketing roles, along with the ability to lead and mentor a team.

    Key Responsibilities Include

    • Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, market trends, and competitive landscape.
    • Analyze data to identify key insights and opportunities for product positioning and differentiation Ultimately owning fine-tuning of product-market fit
    • Develop clear and compelling product positioning and messaging that resonates with target audiences.
    • Create and maintain buyer personas from customer segmentation to guide marketing efforts.
    • Develop and execute go-to-market plans for new product launches and feature releases.
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams, including product management, sales, and customer support, to ensure successful product/campaign/feature launches.
    • Act as customer voice for digital product and app features, translating customer insights and business requirements into clear feature briefs and prioritization inputs for product teams.
    • Drive end-to-end delivery and adoption of app features in partnership with Product, Tech, and Design, including launch readiness, in-app communication, and performance tracking against defined business metrics.
    • Create high-quality marketing content, including product brochures, presentations, case studies, and white papers.

    • Define and track clear success metrics across product, digital, and marketing initiatives to evaluate impact on adoption, revenue, retention, and customer experience.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • Master's degree is a plus.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing and optimizing marketing campaigns, A/B testing with a focus on driving business results.
    • Experience in the energy sector is an added advantage.
    • Experience and Knowledge of developing and managing a digital products
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
    • Creative thinker, with ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
    • Experience with marketing automation platforms, CRM systems, and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, PowerBI, Tableau, etc.).

    GIS Analyst

    Job Summary

    • Husk is seeking a GIS Analyst to join the growing team in Nigeria.
    • The overall objective of this role is to significantly reduce in pre-investment costs associated with mini-grid site identification by deploying software, GIS, and remote sensing-based methods in order to create optimal pipelines of sites/villages suitable for the implementation of mini-grids using.
    • A uniform/consistent analysis approach will be developed, implemented and, where possible, automated. This will ensure that the generated sites meet the minimum site selection criteria.
    • The individual should also be passionate about contributing to solving one of Nigeria’s most critical challenges – the energy access deficit.
    • This position provides the opportunity to join a growing team that is changing the face of rural electrification in many countries in Asia and Africa, including India, Nigeria etc.

    Key Responsibilities Include
    General:

    • Own all GIS/site scoping related activities for all across Nigeria (and other markets).
    • Regularly interact with various high-level internal and external stakeholders for site identification/selection activities.
    • Support the optimization of various Husk NG activities to ensure best practices are entrenched towards more efficient processes.
    • Lead efforts in the training and mentoring of new employees for capacity building purposes.
    • Understand the priorities of the country operations and support the Country team when necessary.
    • Provide requisite support and inputs on building and aligning various company processes and policies according to global best practices.

    Site Identification and Deployment:

    • Define and own the site selection criteria for HMG locations with inputs from the Head, Mini Grids, and the Country Manager.
    • Lead work planning and coordinate the implementation of all GIS/site identification tasks.
    • Prepare country-level geospatial analysis and GIS modelling strategy and implement this in order to develop pipelines of viable communities/locations.
    • Utilize data visualization/analysis tools including customized dashboards for site mapping.
    • Deploy mobile data collection apps for use during field surveys and enumeration activities.
    • Lead efforts to manage survey data collection and the application of relevant data sets for site scoping activities.
    • Support the building of load profiles using collated data to feed into the system sizing activities.
    • Coordinate location-based analytics with innovative spatial intelligence, business intelligence, and statistical and predictive analytics tools to create unique analytical solutions and insights that support both strategic and operational decision-making.

    Business Growth and Support:

    • Ensure support for other Business Units for alignment with GIS/site selection/land survey tasks.
    • Work with relevant Business Units to ensure relevant land lease documents, building permits, other land documentation for compliance purposes.
    • Support business growth and continuous cost & quality improvements in the business.
    • Support in the preparation of proposals, technical inputs, bill of materials, budgets, and technical drawings for the submission of such proposals.
    • Coordinate, maintain regular communication, and develop positive and productive relationships with various stakeholders, regulatory stakeholders, customer/client groups etc.
    • Own communication channels for engagements with all relevant stakeholders during site selection/land survey and other related processes.

    Qualifications
    Requirements:

    • Graduate from a leading institution with a related Degree in GIS / Surveying and other related subjects.
    • A minimum of 5 years of work experience and 3 years of experience in a similar role within the energy sector.
    • Postgraduate degree and/or related professional qualifications, a plus.
    • This position requires an in-depth understanding of GIS/Survey capabilities, critical thinking, and the ability to provide time-bound solutions to the benefit of the company.
    • Excellent skills with QGIS or ArcGIS, Google Earth, Microsoft Office tools and project management tools (MS Project, Power BI, etc).

    Area Sales Manager

    Job Description

    • Husk is recruiting for an Area Sales Manager to help expand its Mini Grids business footprint within Nigeria and across other parts of sub-Saharan Africa.
    • We seek a highly motivated and talented salesperson for our rapidly developing Nigerian market focusing on territorial sales across Husk sites and potential sites and who will be committed to executing at a high level in a fast-paced environment.
    • The Area Sales Manager will be accountable for the MiniGrids Sales Team's financial performance in partnership with the Country Director and is required to drive continuous revenue growth.
    • This position provides the opportunity to join a growing team that is changing the face of rural electrification in Nigeria and Asia.

    • . This is a Head of Sales role with a reporting line to the Country Director.

    Key Responsibilities Include
    General:

    • Manage, motivate, and mentor other team members along with a variety of personnel to create a positive, constructive, and performance-driven dynamic, while driving efficiencies.
    • Establish the strategic vision and direction for the Hybrid Minigrids (HMG) Sales.

    • Support the optimization of various Husk Nigeria activities to ensure best practices are entrenched towards more efficient processes.

    Business Growth and Support:

    • Identify new markets and business opportunities for sales and revenue growth.
    • Formulating sales strategy and ensuring sales goals are achieved.
    • Develop and implement robust sales management processes. Stringently monitor revenue pipeline to ensure revenue targets and achievements.
    • Provide regular reporting on sales management, sales pipeline development, forecasting, key account status, market condition updates, sales results, and budget performance.
    • Market research across the Hybrid Minigrid (HMG) business, including but not limited to marketing, business development, review, and budgeting, across Husk sites and Potential Sites.
    • Development of accurate segmentation and targeting of the market including identification of customer and market opportunities, market entry/expansion strategy, and establishing a balance of long-term pipeline and short-term revenue.
    • Create community market intelligence packs to drive customer sizing and customer pricing decisions.
    • Establish scalable promotional tools and processes.
    • Support business growth and continuous cost & and quality improvements in the business.

    Stakeholder Management:

    • Coordinate, maintain regular communication, and develop positive and productive relationships with various stakeholders, regulatory stakeholders, customer groups, etc.
    • Collaboration and convergence with the Operations/Service, Engineering, IT, and Software and the finance department to ensure the successful implementation of business plans.
    • Build and maintain a high-performing sales team whilst promoting individual/team performance and a collaborative attitude across the board.

    Thought Leadership:

    • Drive thought leadership engagements to ensure Husk maintains local visibility as an industry leader within the MiniGrids space.

    Qualifications
    Requirements:

    • Graduate from a leading institution with a related Degree in Sales, Business Management, and marketing
    • 7+ years of relevant sales experience, with 2 – 4 years in a similar role within the energy sector.
    • Postgraduate degree in business and/or related professional qualifications, a plus.
    • A clearly defined strategic thought process and a continuous improvement mindset with excellent problem-solving skills.
    • This position requires an in-depth understanding of business development, sales, critical thinking, and the ability to provide time-bound solutions to the benefit of the company and projects.
    • Hands-on experience in sales and Marketing within rural areas (B2C & B2B)
    • Great relationship management skills and an understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods.
    • Excellent skills with MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and project management tools (MS Project, Asana, Slack, etc.)
    • In-depth knowledge of the power sector in Nigeria, a plus.
