Plans and directs all aspects of reservoir engineering/field studies regarding the identification, evaluation, and development of oil and gas reserves.
Oversee the process of estimating, assessing, and planning oil and gas production and development projects. Being a reservoir engineering manager ensures all projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organization's established policies and objectives.
Leads activities to optimize producing assets from a reservoir perspective leading to improved recovery, increase production and reserves addition.
Develop reservoir performance prediction and prepare estimates of in-place hydrocarbon volume.
Review surveillance, analysis, dynamic models and provide direction on subsurface engineering required for proper reservoir management of assets
Quantifies risk and uncertainty and to understand the impact on production forecasts and decisions
Requirements
Minimum of Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) Degree in Petroleum Engineering or other relevant Engineering Degree. A master’s degree or equivalent will be an added advantage.
A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant experience in Reservoir Engineering and Engineering Operations in the oil industry with an operator with a track record in Reservoir Engineering Management.
Must have a good knowledge of technical practices and principles of reservoir engineering including but not limited to reservoir performance analysis, field optimization, development planning, economic evaluation, production forecasting and reserves evaluation.
Must be able to contribute to technical knowledge in form of technical paper presentations at conferences.
Ability to support/update company-wide standard reservoir management practices.
Ensure project implementation as well as work packages and constraints are accurately integrated into project planning scenario.
Responsible for monitoring progress and producing accurate projections. Ensure other functions have access to accurate current reports and projections and relevant reports are available.
Develop elaborated proposals for changing processes and procedures assessing the impact on directly related processes/functions.
Commits to Company core values and ensure full compliance to QHSE policies, standards, procedures, and job specific requirements by leading and driving the culture of Zero Incident, Zero Accident, and Zero spill initiative for field operations.
Ensure that all necessary field pre-jobs, real-time and post jobs documents are properly utilized and duly signed and filed, whilst monitoring and overseeing the timely production of the quality documentation.
Coordinate with Contractor, Equipment and Service Providers to provide operational forecasts to allow continuous operations and contingency plans. And provide performance feedback where they were needed.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college
Must have at least 4 years of experience in Project Management and a minimum of 2 years of experience in Project Planning.
Have excellent relevant work experience with significant experience in Oil and Gas Service & Services Project Management in the oil & gas industry
Have hands on experience using Primavera software/ Microsoft Project
