    Electrical Maintenance Technician III

    MAIN FUNCTIONS

    • Support field electrical maintenance work and electrical isolation (Lock out Tag out: Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO)) for lighting, air condition and motor maintenance. Plan and execute scheduled preventive and breakdown maintenance activities to minimize impact on production and maximize operational availability. Typically reports to a supervisor.

    TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • In addition to the Level 1 and 2 tasks and responsibilities, a Level 3:
    • Work with vendors and sub-contractors as required
    • Comply with requirements of MOC for Plant Modifications
    • Apply skills and knowledge in a practical and efficient manner and continually look for opportunities for improvement, cost saving and simplification
    • Comply with and promote high SSHE standards and demonstrate responsibility for the safety of self and others minimizing impact on production, and maximizing operational availability
    • Employ Observation Safety Techniques (OST) to report safe and unsafe acts
    • Actively participate in a responsible waste management system
    • Attend and participate in the Operations morning shift meeting

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Previous experience in a closely related position, preferably in the Oil and Gas Industry
    • Discipline appropriate certification(s) if applicable or equivalent professional experience
    • Effective communication skills; ability to clearly and concisely describe conditions in the field and recommend remediation steps
    • Team Player; exhibits effective teamwork when working with persons over whom the person may have no direct authority and willingness to assist others
    • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs.

    Mechanical Technician III

    MAIN FUNCTIONS

    • Technicians are assigned to carry out maintenance work. This can either be a Company (XOM) employee or a Contractor resource. Typically reports to a supervisor.

    TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Estimates work load to establish completion dates.
    • Assists mechanical engineers in the planning and testing of mechanical components, equipment, and machinery, such as engines, instruments, controls, robots, machines, etc.
    • Helps prepare proposals and cost estimates.
    • Actively participate in the use of all on the job safety tools
    • Review job packs
    • Identify any safety issues associated with job end ensure removal/mitigation prior to working
    • Execute work as planned
    • Record technical history as required by workgroup. (Global Reliability Tool (GRT), data sheet, etc.)
    • Provide feedback on job pack improvements to Execution FLS
    • Request permits and notify Supervisor if permit cannot be issued within 30 minutes of requested time

    Instrumentation and Controls Lead III

    MAIN FUNCTIONS

    • Define scope of all pre-commissioning and commissioning activities, assign workloads, review and implement standards/procedures including man hour estimating, cost estimating, budgeting, and progress reporting for Instrumentation scope for all phases of the project. Supports development and execution of centralized engineering services for existing upstream production operating units and new upstream capital projects to maintain safety availability and reliability of the instrument and control systems while optimizing cost.

    TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Liaise with customers, vendors, engineers, and other disciplines as required.
    • Participate in HAZOP/ LOPA reviews and in other technical, constructability and quality reviews
    • Assist in the Design, Review and Approval of Instrumentation related engineering deliverables, i.e. instrument indexes, installation details, location drawings, datasheets, wiring drawings, loop drawings, P&ID's, material requisitions, evaluation of alternatives and selection of instruments, calculations (control valve, flow elements, pressure safety valves), document control logs, bill of materials and instrument change approvals.
    • Support project Acceptance Testing (AT) including: reviewing procedures, assigning resources, periodically attending AT, and adjust commissioning scope to integrate AT successes and deficiencies.
    • Develop, track, and adjust commissioning execution schedule.

    SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

    • Previous experience in a closely related position and/or supervisory experience in related field
    • MS or advanced degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related engineering specialty, or equivalent professional experience
    • Extensive knowledge of discipline design standards, specifications, codes, and appropriate safety criteria
    • Able to review, evaluate, and update cause and effect, P&IDs, logic and architecture diagrams and control narratives
    • Experience in selection, application, and ISA data sheet specification of hardware including pressure/ temperature /level instruments, control valves, shutdown valves, and fire/gas detection
    • Proficient in data collection and analysis with common database and software data analysis tools such as SAP, Analytics for Excel and Tableau
    • Ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequent changes in priorities
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software programs
    • Read, write, and speak fluent English, especially as it applies to technical and business communications.
