    Account / Admin Officer

    Job Description

    • Our clien requires the service of an Account/Admin Officer with prior experience in the job role. Our client offers exceptional services in the clothing and fashion industry with dedication to customer’s satisfaction and delight.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate financial record, including ledgers, journals and statements
    • Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecast
    • Prepare and present financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements and
    • cash flow statements
    • Prepare and file tax returns in compliance with local, state and federal regulations
    • Conduct internal audits to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies
    • Manage accounts payable and receivables
    • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, standards and laws
    • Manage the day-to-day activities of the organization

    Head of Accounts

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure that the financial transactions of the Firm are accurately captured, classified, and posted with relevant approvals and coding instructions
    • Oversees the Preparation of budgets and strategic plans
    • Provide monthly Management Accounts
    • Ensure timely completion of Statutory Accounts
    • Perform regular reviews of the ledgers and other books of entries and ensure relevant reconciliations
    • Ensure confidentiality and safe keeping of accounting records and documents
    • Adhere to financial and accounting control procedures of the Firm
    • Carry out monthly Tax Returns (PAYE, VAT, Withholding Tax etc.)
    • Any other duties as instructed by the Managing Director

    Reports:
    Included but not limited to:

    • Weekly / Monthly Cash Plan
    • Reconciliation reports
    • Weekly Reports (which includes Receivables Summary, Payables Summary
    • Monthly Income Statement, Statement of Financial Position, Analysis of Expenses, Financial Summary, etc.

    Education and Experience

    • Accounting Degree or equivalent
    • Not above 40 years of age
    • Knowledge of applicable tax laws, codes and regulations in the industry
    • Working knowledge and experience of an accounting software / ERP
    • Minimum of Two to Three years post ICAN / ACCA / CPA qualification experience required
    • Minimum of Two Years Senior Management Role experience
    • Membership of relevant professional bodies such as institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN), Association of Chartered Certified Accountants(ACCA), Certified Public Accountants (CPA)
    • Experience in the Confectioneries Industry would be an added advantage Key Competencies
