    HR Business Partner

    Job Responsibilities

    Talent Acquisition & Pipeline Building:

    • Coordinate end-to-end recruitment processes for roles across the Group, in line with briefs set by the Head of HR
    • Proactively identify and engage potential candidates for current and future roles, contributing to a healthy and diverse talent pool
    • Maintain job briefs, interview guides, and structured assessment materials
    • Manage candidate pipelines, interview scheduling, and hiring manager communications
    • Ensure a consistently professional and engaging candidate experience at every stage.

    HR Administration & Compliance:

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and HR documentation
    • Manage onboarding and offboarding processes from offer acceptance to exit
    • Prepare offer letters, employment contracts, confirmation letters, and related correspondence
    • Support compliance with Nigerian labour law and internal HR policies
    • Support payroll inputs and coordinate with Finance where required.

    Performance & People Management Support:

    • Coordinate the monthly Performance Review (MPR) process — scheduling, documentation, and follow-through
    • Support managers with performance conversation tools, templates, and documentation
    • Maintain the HR reporting framework including weekly snapshots and monthly dashboards
    • Track probation timelines, contract renewals, and employee milestone actions.

    Cinema Operations People Support:

    • Support people-related activities arising across cinema sites, working closely with the People Operations Officer – Cinemas
    • Assist with cinema onboarding queries, documentation, and operational HR matters as directed
    • Help ensure consistency in how HR processes are applied across the support office and field teams.

    HR Systems & Data:

    • Maintain accurate data across HR and ERP systems
    • Produce regular HR data reports to support the Head of HR's reporting cycle
    • Flag process gaps and data inconsistencies proactively.

    Qualifications

    • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
    • 3–5 years of HR experience in a structured, multi-functional environment
    • Solid recruitment coordination experience — you have managed full hiring cycles and built candidate pipelines
    • Strong HR administration skills: documentation, records management, compliance
    • A steady, proactive presence — you manage a lot of moving parts without losing focus or quality
    • High attention to detail and strong written communication
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver without close supervision
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
    • Actively curious about AI tools and how to apply them to improve the quality and efficiency of HR work.

    Additional Information:

    • CIPM, PHRi, or equivalent professional HR certification
    • Familiarity with ERP or HRIS systems
    • Experience in a multi-site or hospitality/entertainment/retail environment
    • Prior exposure to HR reporting and dashboarding

    People Operations Executive

    Job Responsibilities

    Cinema People Operations:

    • Act as the first point of HR contact for managers and staff across cinema locations
    • Conduct regular site visits, gathering structured staff feedback and raising issues proactively
    • Support Cinema Site Leadership with day-to-day people management decisions and documentation
    • Maintain accurate headcount records and staff data for each cinema location
    • Track attendance, leave, and workforce data and feed into the weekly HR snapshot.

    Payroll & Compensation Administration:

    • Collect, verify, and process payroll inputs for cinema staff on a monthly cycle
    • Liaise with Finance to ensure timely and accurate salary processing
    • Track and administer shift allowances, incentive payments, and variable pay components
    • Resolve payroll queries from staff quickly and accurately.

    Employee Relations & Welfare:

    • Handle first-line disciplinary, grievance, and welfare matters in line with Company policy and Nigerian labour law
    • Escalate complex or sensitive cases to the Head of HR with full documentation and context
    • Support the management of probation reviews, contract renewals, and exit processes for cinema staff
    • Build trusted relationships with cinema teams that make staff feel heard and supported.

    Talent Acquisition & Pipeline:

    • Support recruitment for cinema-based roles in coordination with the support office HR team
    • Keep an active eye out for potential candidates - whether roles are currently open or not - and feed strong profiles into the talent pool
    • Coordinate onboarding of new cinema hires including induction, documentation, and system registration
    • Ensure all new starters are fully set up and supported through their first 90 days.

    Reporting & Compliance:

    • Feed accurate field data into the weekly HR snapshot and monthly reporting cycle
    • Ensure all cinema HR documentation is complete, filed, and audit-ready
    • Flag compliance risks and people issues early - before they become crises.

    Qualifications

    • Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
    • 2–4 years of HR experience, with significant exposure to field or operational HR
    • Hands-on payroll administration experience
    • Strong employee relations capability
    • Genuine warmth and strong interpersonal skills 
    • Good energy: you are the kind of person who lifts the room, not drains it
    • A natural spotter of talent 
    • Comfort with multi-site working and regular travel to cinema locations across Nigeria
    • Organised, detail-oriented, and reliable
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

    Additional Information:

    • CIPM or equivalent certification
    • Experience in hospitality, cinema, retail, or any customer-facing multi-site environment
    • Familiarity with Nigerian labour law, particularly as it applies to shift workers and casual staff
    • Experience supporting management of disciplinary and misconduct processes.
