Our client is a transaction finance company that provides short term financing options to Trade/Supply Chain Businesses and Allied Enterprises/Entities in Nigeria. Due to expansion, they are in need of a Regional Sales Manager.
Job Summary
To lead, manage, and grow Shara’s commercial operations within the newly created East Region (Anambra, Delta, and Enugu states). This is a foundational leadership role tasked with building a high-performing team, developing robust market strategies, and establishing the East Region as a top-tier, profitable contributor to Shara’s portfolio. The manager will be responsible for the entire customer lifecycle, from acquisition to retention, while ensuring portfolio health and operational excellence.
Job Responsibilties
Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and growth strategy for the East Region, aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
Identify and analyze market opportunities, competitive trends, and customer needs within the region.
Monitor and enforce key performance indicators (KPIs) for the region, including loan volume, revenue generation, repayment rates, customer acquisition cost, and customer retention.
Drive Regional goals such as Portfolio Health (Minimum 70% On-Time RR, 95% 7-Day RR, 99% 14 Day RR, Net Revenue & Profitability (< 5% Loss Rate), Breakeven on Customer Acquisition (< 2 Transaction Cycles)
Implement effective customer acquisition strategies, including direct sales, partnerships, digital marketing, and community engagement initiatives.
Expand The company's reach and market share within Anambra, Delta, and Enugu states.
Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders, including business associations, community leaders, and government agencies.
Ensure high loan repayment rates and minimize credit risk within the region.
Oversee the loan origination and approval process, ensuring compliance with the company's credit policies and procedures.
Implement effective collection strategies for delinquent accounts.
Monitor portfolio performance and identify potential risks or opportunities.
Drive revenue growth by increasing loan volume, improving interest income, and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling financial products.
Manage and optimize the regional budget to maximize ROI.
Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team of Growth Officers.
Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance.
Foster a positive and motivating work environment that encourages collaboration, innovation, and accountability.
Set performance targets, conduct regular performance reviews, and implement performance improvement plans as needed.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and internal policies.
Implement effective fraud prevention measures and monitor suspicious activity.
Manage and mitigate operational risks within the region.
Prepare and submit regular reports on regional performance, market trends, and competitive activity.
Analyze data to identify opportunities for improvement and inform strategic decision-making.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales and business development, with at least 3 years in a managerial role overseeing a team and P&L.
Proven track record of success in driving growth and achieving significant revenue targets within the financial services, fintech, or FMCG sectors.
Extensive experience and established network within the East Region (Anambra, Delta, Enugu) is highly preferred.
Deep understanding of the SME landscape and the specific challenges and opportunities within the region.
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in interpreting sales data and market trends.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
The Risk Manager is responsible for identifying and managing all aspects of risk within the company. This role involves developing and implementing risk management strategies to mitigate potential threats, ensure regulatory compliance, and safeguard the organization's assets and reputation.
Job Responsibilities
Develop and implementrisk management policies, procedures, and frameworks.
Identify, assess, and prioritize risks across all business functions and operations.
Coordinate risk assessments to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
Conduct risk assessments and scenario analysis to anticipate potential threats and opportunities.
Evaluate the effectiveness of insurance coverage and risk transfer mechanisms to minimize financial exposure.
Lead special projects and initiatives related to risk management optimization, process improvement, and innovation.

Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including industry peers, regulators, and risk management associations
Job Requirements
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in related discipline preferably business administration, finance or risk management (Masters or MBA is an added advantage)
6 - 8 years’ core experience, of which at least 3 years are in senior management role.
Recognized professional certification will be an added advantage.
Experience in developing and implementing effective risk management strategies.
Proven experience working in a group structure
In-depth knowledge and experience of risk management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
In-depth knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements
Familiarity with enterprise risk management software and tools.
