    Cake Baker & Decorator

    Job Summary

    • The Cake Baker & Designer will lead the Confectionery Department, responsible for baking and designing high-quality cakes and desserts that meet customer specifications and quality standards.
    • The role requires strong expertise in modern cake decoration, creativity in menu development, and the ability to manage production while leading a small team.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Bake and decorate cakes and desserts using standard and custom recipes
    • Create custom designs for birthdays, weddings, events, and special orders
    • Oversee daily confectionery production and ensure quality, consistency, and timely delivery
    • Develop creative cake designs and seasonal dessert offerings
    • Supervise, train, and guide confectionery staff
    • Manage inventory, cost control, and minimize waste
    • Ensure strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness standards
    • Maintain high customer satisfaction through product quality and presentation.

    Education & Requirements

    • Minimum of SSCE (professional baking / decorating training is an advantage)

    • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and peak periods.

    Pastries Baker

    Job Summary

    • Responsible for preparing high-quality pastries and desserts, ensuring consistency, creativity, food safety, and efficient production to meet daily and seasonal demands.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare and bake pastries such as meat pies, sausage rolls, doughnuts, and desserts
    • Follow standard recipes, portion control, and production plans
    • Monitor baking temperatures, quality, and presentation
    • Support daily pastry production and seasonal menu offerings
    • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and health & safety standards
    • Assist with stock control and minimize food waste
    • Ensure consistent quality across all pastry products

    Education & Requirements

    • Minimum of SSCE or equivalent
    • Training in pastry, catering, or culinary arts is an advantage
    • Previous experience in pastry baking preferred
    • Ability to follow recipes, measurements, and instructions
    • Creative, detail-oriented, and quality-focused
    • Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.

    Bread Baker

    Job Summary

    • The Bread Baker is responsible for preparing and baking high-quality bread and related bakery products while ensuring food safety, consistency, and timely supply for hotel operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Prepare dough, proof, and bake various bread products following standard recipes
    • Monitor ovens, proof boxes, and baking times to ensure quality and consistency
    • Ensure proper presentation, quality control, and adequate product quantity
    • Order and manage bakery ingredients using electronic systems and monitor inventory
    • Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with food safety standards
    • Operate and maintain professional baking equipment
    • Delegate daily tasks as required and support smooth bakery operations
    • Work closely with the team to meet retail needs
    • Perform any other duties assigned by management

    Education & Requirements

    • Minimum of SSCE (OND is an advantage)
    • At least 1 year of experience as a Bread Baker
    • Vocational baking training or apprenticeship is an advantage
    • Ability to follow recipes and production instructions
    • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices
    • Ability to work under pressure, including night shifts
    • 7. Good time management, teamwork, and customer-focused attitude.
