    Operational Risk Manager

    Job Summary

    • Assist the Group Head of Operational Risk Management with embedding a best-in-class risk management culture within the organization.
    • Involve in the proper implementation of the Group’s Operational & Market risk management frameworks comprising its policies, procedures and tools, in line with best practice.​

    Job Responsibilities

    • Work closely with the Group Head, Operational Risk Management in ensuring that losses arising from failed or inadequate internal processes, systems, people and external events fall within the Group's risk appetite and is in alignment with the organization’s corporate strategy.​
    • Ensures prompt completion and rendition of Risk & Control Self Assessments (RCSAs), and Key Risk Indicators (KRIs).​
    • Performs root cause analyses on identified risk events and recommends controls to be implemented to prevent these risk events from re-occurring in future or to minimize the impact of the risk should the event be a critical business process. ​
    • Monitor the Business Unit's risk exposure closely to ensure operational efficiency, expected sales and proper redress of limiting factors.​
    • Attend Management Committee meetings and present or discuss key risks identified that require immediate redress or awareness of Senior Management when assigned.​
    • Monitoring/analysis of relevant market variables and current trends in the economy and evaluating the likely effect on the Group’s position. ​
    • Calculate the Group's FX net open position. ​
    • Estimate potential FX losses using Value-at-Risk (VaR)​
    • Perform sensitivity analysis of the Bond portfolio to defined changes in interest rate using Duration/Convexity. ​
    • Measure liquidity risk using Gap analysis and Liquidity ratios.​
    • Strategic Risk monitoring on issues such as risks emanating from corporate governance issues, strategy formulation and implementation, Pricing pressure and competition issues, Mergers and Acquisitions, Sales & Marketing issues and likely exposures from Systemic risks from macro-economic trends that might impact business.​
    • Customize ERM Polices and SOPs to align with business dynamics and regulatory landscape.

    Key Requirements

    • HND / Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related Course, Economics Accounting or Engineering​
    • Masters’ degree in a relevant field of study or relevant professional qualification would be an advantage.​
    • Minimum of 5 years or more in Risk Management (Operation and market risk) either in manufacturing or financial services.​

    Fuel Monitoring Analyst, Mines

    Job Description

    • To maintain the accuracy of fuel consumption throughout the company's mining vehicle fleet, responsibilities include monitoring data from installed fuel sensors, analyzing trends and anomalies, and reporting suspected instances of fuel misapplication or sabotage to management for timely intervention.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Consistently analyze both real-time and historical data gathered from fuel sensors installed in all company vehicles.
    • Investigate fuel consumption patterns to detect any irregularities, inefficiencies, or suspicious activities.

    Head, Inbound Logistics

    Job Description

    • Take charge of the comprehensive planning, meticulous organisation, and seamless coordination of DCP’s inbound logistics activities.
    • This role is crucial for ensuring that the clearance of imports occurs in a timely and efficient manner, thereby facilitating smooth operations within the supply chain.
    • Additionally, you will be responsible for ensuring that all activities adhere to the relevant regulatory requirements, thereby upholding DCP’s commitment to compliance and operational excellence.
    • Your efforts will play a pivotal role in optimising logistics processes and enhancing overall organisational performance.

    Key Duties and Responsibilities

    • Contribute to the formulation of DCP's logistics policies and procedures. 
    • Ensure that departmental activities comply with DCP’s logistics policies and procedures, in line with the overall goals and objectives of the Group.
    • Manage the planning and execution of logistics needs, including clearing, transportation, and warehousing, for all incoming materials. 
    • Take responsibility for the efficient importation, distribution, and delivery of incoming materials. 
    • Examine relevant import documentation for completeness and accuracy to guarantee compliance with legal and financial standards during the shipping and importation of products, equipment, and stock. 
    • Cultivate relationships with key third-party organizations involved in the inbound logistics process, such as onshore/offshore suppliers, shippers, clearing agents, inspection agents, and customs, ensuring adherence to Service Level Agreements (SLAs) when necessary. 
    • Coordinate with relevant departments within DCP (e.g., procurement, transportation, etc.) to ensure a smooth inbound logistics operation. 
    • Continuously review shipping costs and timelines to identify and suggest opportunities for enhanced cost efficiency. 
    • Regularly monitor and evaluate DCP's inbound logistics processes, proposing changes and improvements to Management. 
    • Offer recommendations to Management on best practices, policies, and procedures in inbound logistics management.

    Requirements
    Education and Work Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Distribution Management, or a related field.
    • Postgraduate Degree in Business or Logistics Management.
    • A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant job experience, including at least five (5) years in a top leadership role.

    Skills and Behaviours:

    • Comprehensive understanding of the trends, challenges, opportunities, regulations, and legislation affecting the cement manufacturing sector.
    • Thorough knowledge of the organization’s products and services.
    • Deep understanding of the principles and methods of supply chain management.
