Job Overview:
- We are seeking an experienced and motivated Asst. Marketing Manager to complement our marketing efforts in the renewable energy sector. As a key member of our team, you will collaborate in developing and executing marketing strategies to promote our solar energy solutions, increase brand awareness, generate leads, and drive customer engagement. This role requires a blend of creative and analytical skills, as well as a passion for sustainability and clean energy.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Execution & Campaign:
- Support the Marketing Manager in executing approved marketing plans across digital, field, and partner channels.
- Assist in implementing digital marketing, content marketing, promotional campaigns, and brand activations.
- Track campaign performance and prepare basic reports on outcomes and insights.
Brand Content & Support:
- Ensure brand guidelines, messaging, and visual identity are consistently applied across all marketing materials.
- Coordinate content development for social media, website updates, product awareness campaigns, and partner communications.
- Work closely with the Graphics Designer to review designs and copies for accuracy, clarity, and brand alignment.
Lead Generation & Partner Engagement:
- Support lead generation activities across digital platforms (SEO, SEM, email marketing, social media, online marketplaces).
- Monitor incoming leads and assist with tracking marketing-qualified leads for handover to Sales.
- Support engagement activities with channel partners and distributors.
Digital & Online Platform Engagement:
- Assist in managing the company website and online platforms to ensure content, products, and service information are current.
- Liaise with the web development team to ensure websites, e-shop, and payment platforms are functional and updated.
- Support visibility and engagement on e-commerce platforms such as Jiji, Jumia, and Konga.
E-Shop & Channel Support
- Assist with monitoring the company’s e-commerce platform to ensure accurate pricing, product listings, and functionality.
- Support product distribution visibility in modern trade and chain stores.
Sales & Business Development Support
- Work closely with the Sales and Telesales teams to support marketing-led engagement initiatives (calls, chats, bulk SMS).
- Assist in preparing marketing materials such as presentations, brochures, proposals, and pitch decks.
- Support coordination of promotions, roadshows, exhibitions, and customer engagement events.
Market Intelligence & Product Support
- Assist with basic market research on competitors, pricing trends, customer needs, and product performance.
- Gather customer and partner feedback and escalate insights for continuous improvement.
- Support product awareness activities and internal product training sessions.
Event & Activity Coordination
- Assist in planning and executing marketing events, trade shows, webinars, and partner activations.
- Coordinate logistics, materials, and follow-up activities related to marketing events.
Administrative & Budget Support
- Support budget tracking and expense documentation for marketing activities.
- Maintain proper documentation and reports for marketing initiatives.

Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 consistent years of marketing experience in a supervisory role, preferably in the renewable energy or technology sectors.
Skills:
- Strong understanding of digital marketing, including SEO, SEM, social media, and email marketing.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze data and turn insights into actionable marketing strategies.
- Proficiency in marketing tools and software (Google Analytics, CRM, marketing automation platforms).
- Photo and video editing skills
- Creative problem-solver with a passion for sustainability and renewable energy.
