    Associate Project Manager

    Job Summary

    • As the Associate Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our company by driving impactful projects in a thriving and dynamic environment.
    • Partnering with the Head of Operations, team leads, and external collaborators, you’ll ensure seamless project execution, on-time delivery, and alignment with our ambitious goals.

    Responsibilities

    • Collaborate closely with the Founder and Head of Operations to turn visionary business strategies into actionable plans, tracking progress on company objectives and helping to drive growth and profitability while ensuring alignment with our mission
    • Support the Head of Operations to coordinate the seamless operation of diverse business units by supporting team leads, coordinating workstreams, and empowering team members to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in alignment with established business goals

    • Spearhead the optimization and development of existing and new processes, systems, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to enhance company-wide efficiency, to preserve institutional knowledge and ensure smooth operational continuity
    • Collaborate with internal teams and product specialists to bring new products and initiatives to life, guiding their launch and incubation phases

    Requirements

    Business Development Associate

    About the Role

    • ART X is seeking a Business Development Associate with strong administrative skills and a passion for relationship management.
    • This role plays a vital part in supporting the Marketing & Partnerships Lead by ensuring the smooth execution of business development initiatives that support ART X’s mission and growth, including: financial sponsors, lifestyle partners, corporate sales and more.
    • You will be responsible for managing day-to-day administrative tasks related to business development, including preparing proposals and reports, scheduling and coordinating meetings, maintaining databases, and tracking outreach efforts.
    • You’ll also serve as a key liaison between ART X and its stakeholders, helping to build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with sponsors, clients, and collaborators.
    • This position requires exceptional attention to detail, excellent organizational and communication skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities under tight deadlines.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify, evaluate and cultivate potential sponsorships and strategic partnerships that align with ART X’s mission and objectives
    • Develop comprehensive and tailored presentations that strategically address the unique requirements of both the potential/existing partner and ART X, clearly articulating the mutual benefits and value proposition of the partnership
    • Support the management and nurturing of existing partnerships, ensuring effective communication and long-term collaboration by developing databases, contact lists, and project trackers
    • Act as a point of contact for external partners and sponsors, ensuring effective communication and fostering strong, long-term relationships
    • Assist in organizing partner-related events, activations, and meetings to ensure a seamless experience for all parties
    • Liaise with internal teams - including Communications and Design, Events, Guest Relations, Operations, etc - to ensure cohesive execution of partner initiatives and campaigns
    • Develop, maintain, and update operational processes, guidelines and Standard Operation Procedures (SOPs) for Partnership Management

    Requirements

    • A minimum of 5 years experience in marketing operations, sponsorship, partnerships, or a related field, preferably within the art, culture, or creative sectors; experience with international brands, as well as with audiences in Nigeria/Africa is preferred

    Curatorial Associate

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a Curatorial Associate with about 4 years’ experience to join our dynamic team.
    • This role is ideal for a creative, visionary self-starter who harbours the desire to sustain a longterm career in the field of curation.
    • It presents an opportunity to contribute to ART X’s evolving role as a catalyst for the creative industry, and to the growth and success of African talent on the regional and global stages.

    Responsibilities

    • Work closely with the Curatorial Production Lead on curatorial and programming initiatives, such as the ART X Prize, ART X Talks, Special Projects and more, with duties including but not limited to research and conceptualisation, artist management, critical review, text origination and editing, production, exhibition design and installation
    • Execute curatorial plans in order to support the delivery of the department’s projects
    • Coordinate with artists, collaborators and team members to develop and execute curatorial initiatives, projects and propose ideas/initiatives for the company
    • Build and maintain relations with new and existing artists
    • Research contemporary artists and contemporary art trends, as well as innovations and solutions to feature in various projects
    • Support as a liaison between the Curatorial, Events, Communications and Design, and other departments to ensure timelines and creative deliverables are aligned
    • Support the team by generating interpretive texts, labels, and digital content related to exhibitions and curatorial projects
    • Coordination of bookings, logistics and support in the preparation of schedules and itineraries for visiting guests involved in ART X Lagos and the surrounding art week
    • Prepare drafts of post-mortem reports, and suggestions for improvements, at various stages of ongoing initiatives
    • Stay abreast of relevant contemporary art, culture and social media trends
    • Handle administrative responsibilities associated with the curatorial execution 
    • Other tasks and duties assigned by the Founder / Curatorial Production Lead.

    Requirements

    • The ideal candidate is extremely creative, efficient and organised, possesses exceptional communication skills and will bring enthusiasm to the role.

    • At least 4 years of experience working within the creative/ visual arts sector

    Administrative Intern

    Job Summary

    • ART X  is excited to offer a dynamic and hands-on internship programme for a cohort of enthusiastic and energetic individuals to contribute to our upcoming campaign season and 10th year anniversary fair.
    • This 4-month paid internship will run from August to November, providing a unique opportunity to gain practical experience and contribute meaningfully to the operations of the leading international art fair in West Africa. 
    • Over the course of the programme, interns will become integral members of their respective teams, providing support while gaining valuable experience. These teams include: Admin, Guest Relations and Marketing.
    • This is a full-time, in-person internship programme, based in Lagos for four months, from August to November. NYSC candidates are welcome to apply. All interns must provide their own laptop and smartphone.
    • This programme offers a pathway for the Admin Intern role in particular, to transition into an extended Intern position after the initial 4 months.

    Focus:

    • Providing essential administrative support with the goal of ensuring optimal operations of the organisation during and after the campaign season

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure the office is running smoothly and assist in handling tasks and resolving issues related to daily operational activities.
    • Assist in managing team welfare, including the planning and execution of internal team-building activities, meetings and social events
    • Assist in inventory management of company property, merchandise and materials.
    • Liaise with the company’s vendors, maintain vendor relationships and handle vendor negotiations.
    • Manage the supply of office stationery and work tools needed by the team.
    • Assist with travel logistics: managing hotel bookings, vehicle hire, flight bookings (local and international), and airport concierge bookings.
    • Assist with the management of incoming and outgoing ‘mail’.
    • Handle out-of-office tasks with external stakeholders and vendors.

    • Work with the Guest Relations Team to manage guest registrations and reservations, ensuring accurate documentation and efficient record-keeping.
    • Maintain and update customer relationship database, including data clean-up, segmentation, as well as prepare reports and insights
