    Senior Associate, Grant

    Position Summary

    • This position will report to the Senior Manager Grants in the HQ. The successful candidate will support the Grants Management/Compliance department in writing, developing, monitoring and implementing grant proposals. S/He will support the Senior Grants Manager to facilitate grant efforts, including the grant approval process and post-award compliance. Ensures timelines are met in all grants activities.

    Other responsibilities:

    • Support in monitoring post-award grant compliance.
    • Researches information and data necessary for grants sourcing and reporting.
    • Edits and organizes grant documents written by other staff and departments.
    • Assist in developing outlines, timelines and budgets templates for grants according to funding guidelines.
    • Facilitates workshops for and provides technical assistance to staff and subcontractors in the area of grant writing, development, compliance and support.
    • Researches new funding opportunities available through local private and corporate foundations.
    • Disseminates information on funding opportunities and compliance requirements to appropriate departments
    • Monitors outstanding grant proposals. Follows up with funding agency as necessary.
    • Maintains necessary records, files, reports, databases, and resource materials pertinent to Grants Office activities.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Qualification and Experience 

    • B.Sc. or HND in Accounting or any related disciple, with relevant professional qualification (ACA or ACCA).
    • Must possess a minimum of 4 years’ experience in finance, and a minimum of one year in Grants Management and Administration in a donor-funded organization.
    • Must possess excellent planning and organizational skills.
    • Must be able to work with minimal supervision.
    • Must possess a high level of integrity and responsibility.

    Senior Technical Associate - Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E)/Database Management

    The desired candidates will work with the Headquarter M&E team to support the implementation of robust monitoring and evaluation systems in the various states. S/He will be responsible for collating the program data at the State level and ensuring quality data reports for the program in the state. S/He will help with data use and leverage on technologies to improve data management processes at all program States /Sites. 

    Other specific tasks:

    • Develop and track progress of M&E work plan
    • Provide technical support for institutional DHIS2 platform maintenance and issue resolutions
    • Provide technical support for quarterly reporting to DATIM
    • Run routine validation scripts to ensure compliance to logic checks and validation rules
    • Support intermittent reviews of gaps and outlier analysis and validation rules for various thematic areas
    • Provide technical guidance for regular platform updates and upgrades
    • Liaise with the IT team to improve user experience and resolve arising issues with the DHIS2 platform. 
    • Build users’ capacity to enter data, analyze and provide regular reports using DHIS2
    • Provide data analysis and management support and ensure regular maintenance of databases/information systems.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Must possess a first degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Behavioural/Social Sciences, Public Health, Demography, Biostatistics, Statistics, or a relevant field.
    • Must have a minimum of four (4) years’ experience in the field of HIV prevention.
    • Must have intermediate knowledge of SPSS or STATA or knowledge of DHIS, MS-Access or other compatible database software will be of added advantage.
