    Credit Officer - Lagos

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking an experienced Credit Officer who will be responsible for assessing, evaluating, and managing credit risk for MSME and retail clients.
    • The role involves loan applications, ensuring compliance with CBN policies and implementing effective credit risk management strategies.  

    Key Responsibilities

    • Assess  and analyze creditworthiness of the MSME and retail clients.
    • Conduct financial evaluations, risk assessments, and loan structuring.
    • Ensure compliance with CBN policies on credit and loan administration.
    • Monitor loan portfolios to minimize default risk.
    • Develop and implement micro learning and retail banking strategies.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to optimize loan processes and recovery strategies.
    • Prepare and present credit reports and recommendations to management.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or Business Administration from a reputable institution.
    • 3-5 years post NYSC experience in credit risk management within the financial industry.
    • Strong knowledge of CBN policies on credit and loan administration.
    • Expertise in micro - lending, MSME financing and retail banking.
    • Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA(added advantage).
    • Strong analytical , communication and decision making skills.
