    Driver

    • Drive the official vehicle in a safe manner, maintain an accurate log of all vehicle movement.
    • Maintain and repair vehicles in accordance with AYGF’s policies.
    • Keep track of vehicle repair and servicing.
    • Be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle, check oil, water, battery, brakes, tyres etc. and other inputs in a cost-effective manner that ensures reliable use of the vehicle using appropriate tools for requisition and approval.
    • Keep the interior and the exterior of the official vehicle clean at all times.
    • Ensure the vehicle logbook is updated at every trip; signed by passengers appropriately. Ensure vehicle use policies and the procedure is maintained.
    • Respond promptly to request to ensure vehicle use by appropriate staff. Daily cleaning of the vehicle to ensure vehicles are kept neat at all times.
    • Ensure that the admin Officer or his/her designate is kept abreast of all routine promptness, proper appearance, and respect for laws, passengers and the general public.
    • Perform other duties that may be assigned to him by the management.

    Program Manager, Education

    Job Purpose

    • The Program Manager, Education, will lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of education-focused programs aimed at promoting access to quality education, especially for marginalized and underserved communities.
    • She/he will collaborate with internal teams, government agencies, schools, teachers, parents, and other stakeholders to support educational initiatives that empower learners and foster inclusive learning environments.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement education programs and projects aligned with the organization's mission, objectives, and strategic priorities.
    • Conduct needs assessments, baseline surveys, and situational analyses to identify educational challenges, gaps, and opportunities at the local, regional, and national levels.
    • Design and oversee the implementation of strategies, interventions, and activities to improve access to quality education, enhance learning outcomes, and promote inclusive education practices.
    • Coordinate with government education authorities, schools, teacher's associations, and community-based organizations to advocate for policy reforms and initiatives that support equitable and inclusive education.
    • Facilitate capacity-building initiatives, workshops, and training sessions for teachers, education officials, parents, and community members on pedagogical approaches, child-centered learning, and inclusive education practices.
    • Provide technical expertise and support to schools and educational institutions in curriculum development, teacher training, classroom management, and student assessment.
    • Monitor and evaluate program activities and outcomes, and document best practices, lessons learned, and success stories to inform future program design and implementation.
    • Represent the organization in relevant forums, conferences, and events related to education, and contribute to advocacy and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
    • Stay abreast of emerging trends, research findings, and best practices in education, and incorporate new knowledge into program strategies and approaches.
    • Supervise and mentor program staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality program delivery.

    Education and Experience / Qualifications

    • A Degree in Education, International Development, Social Sciences, or related field.
    • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in education program management, preferably in the NGO sector.
    • Strong understanding of education issues, including access, quality, equity, and inclusion.
    • Proven ability to build and maintain partnerships with government agencies, civil society organizations, donors, and other stakeholders.
    • Proven experience in project management, research, policy advocacy, and program development in Public Health.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.
    • Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities.
    • Proficiency in relevant computer software applications, including Microsoft Office suite and statistical analysis software.

    Program Manager (Governance)

    Job Summary
    The Program Manager, Governance, will lead the design, implementation, and monitoring of governance-focused programs aimed at promoting transparency, accountability, and citizen participation. She/he will work closely with internal teams, government agencies, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders to advance good governance practices and strengthen democratic institutions.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement governance programs and initiatives in line with the organization's mission, objectives, and strategic priorities.
    • Conduct assessments and analyses to identify governance challenges, gaps, and opportunities at the national, regional, and local levels.
    • Design and facilitate capacity-building activities, workshops, and training sessions for government officials, civil society representatives, and community leaders on governanceprinciples, practices, and mechanisms.
    • Support the development and implementation of policies, laws, and regulations that promote transparency, accountability, and the rule of law.

    Program Manager, Public Health

    Job Purpose

    • The Program Manager, Public Health, will play a key role in the planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of public health programs within AYGF.
    • She/he will collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of public health initiatives aimed at improving health outcomes in target communities.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    • Develop and oversee the implementation of public health programs in alignment with the organization's mission, goals, and strategic objectives.
    • Conduct thorough needs assessments, stakeholder analyses, and situational analyses to inform program design and planning.
    • Coordinate with government agencies, local authorities, community leaders, and other partners to ensure effective collaboration and coordination of program activities.
    • Provide technical expertise and guidance on public health interventions, including but not limited to disease prevention, health promotion, maternal and child health, and nutrition.
    • Develop detailed work plans, budgets, and monitoring and evaluation frameworks for each program, and ensure timely and efficient execution of activities.
    • Monitor program progress, identify challenges and opportunities, and propose corrective actions as needed to ensure program effectiveness and impact.
    • Lead the collection, analysis, and reporting of program data and results to measure outcomes, document lessons learned, and inform decision-making.
    • Supervise and mentor program staff, providing guidance, capacity building, and performance feedback to ensure high-quality program implementation.

    Education and Experience / Qualifications

    • A Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology, or related field.
    • Minimum of 8 years’ experience in designing, implementing, and managing public health programs, preferably in the NGO sector.
    • Strong technical knowledge and expertise in areas such as infectious disease control,health education, maternal and child health, and/or nutrition.
    • Proficient in proposal writing.
    • Proven experience in project management, research, policy advocacy, and program development in Public Health.
