    Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant (m/f/d) - National position

    Location: Maiduguri, Borno
    Employment Type: Contract
    Start date: May 2022.
    Duration of contract: Till December 31st 2022 with possibilities of extension

    Job Description

    • The Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant will be based in Maiduguri Office.
    • The position will support measurement in the Field Office.
    • The Assistant will support the M&E officer in managing day to day M&E tasks arising in the Field Office and providing technical support to field teams to ensure effective implementation of the project.

    Main Responsibilities

    • Assist in routine data collection and entry for various project interventions implemented in the field and ensure that complete, accurate, clean, and consistent data is shared with the M&E Officer for data analysis and action planning.
    • Assist M&E officer in Ensuring proper filing and storage of M&E documents including questionnaires, monitoring reports, datasets, among others.
    • Submit to the M&E Officer weekly and monthly updates on M& E activities conducted in the field.
    • Keenly track project progress through standardized data collection tools and methodologies
    • Maintain confidentiality and observe data protection and other associated guidelines.
    • Support M&E officer in the compilation of Monthly reports through provision of timely accurate and updated data.
    • Assist the M&E Officer in ensuring that an accountability mechanism is in place and utilized, according to the CHS.

    Qualifications

    • B. Sc / HND equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or any relevant Social Science course
    • 2 - 4 years experience.
    • Computer literacy (Word, Excel, Power Point)
    • Good leadership skills
    • Strong technical knowledge in M&E sector
    • Strong report writing skills
    • Proficiency in English language and fluency in the local language such as: Hausa, Kanuri, Margi, Shuwa, Madara (written and spoken would be an added advantage).

    Protection Officer (m/f/d) - National Position

    Location: Maiduguri, Borno

    Job Description

    • The Protection Officer will be responsible for the technical supervision and coordination of all Protection-related activities of Malteser Programme in Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria. 
    • He/she will ensure that training and capacity building needs of field protection staff are timely addressed and that the protection services and activities meet quality standards in the sector.

    Responsibilities

    • Ensure GBV survivors and those at risk of Gender Based Violence (GBV) are identified and receive individual support by ensuring standard tools and procedures are in place and adhered to by members while complying with the rules and regulations of Malteser International and donors
    • Manage, provide training and technical support, and build the capacity of the full case management team
    • Manage Malteser International’s Gender Based Violence (GBV) activities, Case Management activities interfacing with other program team members
    • Document all GBV cases and other related activities well and establish a good filing system
    • Contribute to regular internal and external donor reporting
    • Ensure continuous and effective liaison and coordination with target communities (IDPs and Host) as well as local and government authorities and other stakeholders on case management and offer referrals of cases where necessary

    Your Profile

    • University Degree in Social Sciences or related field
    • Minimum of 3 years relevant professional experience in Protection sector (including at least one year in a supervisory role)
    • Strong technical knowledge in general protection (i.e., protection monitoring, case management, psychosocial support activities)
    • Strong report writing skills
    • Strong planning and organizational skills
    • Good English skills (speaking and writing); knowledge of beneficiary languages (Kanuri, Shuwa and Hausa)
    • Computer literaracy, especially in Microsoft Office packages.

    Psychosocial Support Facilitator (m / f / d)

    Job Description

    • For its work in Maiduguri, Nigeria, Malteser International is looking for a motivated Psychosocial Support Facilitator (m/f/d) – National Position.
    • The Psychosocial Support Facilitator will be responsible for the coordination of all psychosocial related activities of Malteser Programme in Maiduguri, Borno State, Nigeria.
    • Within the responsibilities, the Psychosocial Support Facilitator will need to ensure compliance with Malteser International and donor administrative, Financial, Safety and Security, Human Resources and logistic procedures in the work place.

    Your Responsibilities

    • Coordinate, facilitate, and supervise individual or group psychosocial support activities at MI’s WGSS where survivors can receive appropriate and confidential assistance
    • Lead implementation of PSS activities focused on: psychoeducation sessions to survivors, building support network for community reintegration, building confidence and skills
    • Utilize appropriate PSS and recreational kit materials, subjects, teaching methods, for the respective community, gender, and age group
    • Identify and strengthen community structures through engaging community leaders, women and youth groups as well as other stakeholders to ensure that survivors receive adequate support at the community level
    • Identify other areas of need and ensure that referrals for additional support are taken forward including emotional support, case management, legal support, cash assistance and mental health services
    • Facilitate the assessment of psychosocial needs in collaboration with program management such as rapid assessments and assist in identifying and providing a wide range of support mechanisms covering short-term interventions and referrals.

    Your Profile

    • Relevant University Degree in relation to the position.
    • Minimum of 2 years of professional experience as a PSS Facilitator, Case Manager, Psychologist, or similar role in an NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) 
    • Familiar with Humanitarian Principles and standards
    • Excellent communication skills with children of different age groups and adults
    • Previous women girl safe space experience is an asset
    • Good English skills (speaking and writing); knowledge of beneficiary languages (Kanuri, Shuwa and Hausa)
    • Computer literate especially in Microsoft Office packages.
