    Human Resource Manager

    Preferred Location – Surulere or 15 minutes drive away.

    Job description
    The Human Resource Manager would be charged with not just recruiting permanent and contractual staff of the organization but especially to help the staff strength grow professionally and creating an enabling work environment to enable them meet the changing demands of a progressive/dynamic 21st century work environment; promoting a good work culture that not only welcomes but also recognizes the input of people irrespective of their ethnicity, religion, skin color, gender, age, marital status or even disability status as the case may be.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • To maintain/regulate the working structure by updating job roles, descriptions, and specifications for staff at all levels.
    • Overseeing the recruitment/hiring of new individuals to the hospital’s workforce whenever the need arises.
    • Conduction of orientation programs for new intakes.
    • Getting employees ready  and equipped at all times to deliver organizational assignment.
    • Handling employees’ grievances and settling inter-personal disagreements between staff whenever such arise.
    • Ensuring legal compliance of the organization to relevant governmental human resource requirements.
    • Keeping account of historical HR records by designing a filing and retrieval system; preserving past/current records.
    • Liaising with the accounting dept. in planning, preparing, executing and monitoring staff remuneration in accordance with their role and work input.
    • Getting and maintaining optimum results from workforce; monitoring and appraising job, counselling if need be, and undertaking disciplinary measures when members of staff don’t live up to expectation.

    Job Requirement

    • Bachelors’ Degree in Human Resource Management or related course from a reputable institution.
    • Relevant professional certifications in Human Resource and/or Administration.
    • Proficiency in using HR Management Software.
    • Excellent communication ability in English Language.
    • Basic computer literacy/usability of day-to-day data entry, analyses and processing tools such as Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to learn and deliver staff training sessions (and experience in doing so).
    • Ability to learn fast and adapt to new environment.
    • Minimum 4 years’ experience working in Human Resources or related role.

    Accounts Officer

    Job description
    The Accounts officer is required to contribute his expertise and experience to the financial administration/bookkeeping processes of the organization.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Book keeping duties.
    • Accurate preparation and maintenance of the hospital’s financial records.
    • Making bills readily available to customers and clients; processing of refunds.
    • Ability to communicate financial records effectively is also very paramount.
    • Interaction with necessary financial organizations and regulatory bodies on behalf of the hospital on financial matters.
    • Attending to tax related matters.
    • Contributing to oversight/scrutiny of the hospital’s budgeting and resource management for optimum profitability.
    • Analyzing financial trends on revenues, monetary commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues/expenses.
    • Making financial management recommendations to the management of the hospital as the need may arise.

    Job Requirement

    • Attention to detail is of utmost priority.
    • BSc. in Accounting or related course from a reputable institution (additional degrees would be an added advantage).
    • OND/HND in Accounting is also tenable (additional degrees in Business Admin or related areas would be a plus).
    • Proficiency in the use of Accounts Software packages is an added advantage.
    • Minimum of 4 years’ experience working as an Accounts Officer or related role.
    • Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and other related professional bodies.
    • Excellent communication ability in English Language.
    • Basic computer literacy/usability of day-to-day data entry, analyses and processing tools such as Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to learn fast and adapt to new environment.

    Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist

    Job description
    The Senior Medical Laboratory Scientist is expected to coordinate, monitor, supervise, and also carry out lab investigations according to accepted standards stipulated by the MLSCN and meets the demands of all other international best practices.
    Input, process and retrieve laboratory results using an electronic medical software or any other IT application or procedure as our services and standard may necessitate per time.

    Responsibilities and Duties

    • Coordinate and supervise junior lab scientists and technicians.
    • Discharge of medical laboratory duties, with utmost carefulness and precision.
    • Attending to and receiving samples based on the terms of the employment or when need be.
    • Adhering to the laboratory guidelines, standards and work ethics of Havana Specialist Hospital
    • Preparation of culture plates.
    • Routine examination of culture and sensitivity plates.
    • Authorization of lab results before they are released.
    • Working with Lab HOD towards building an effective relationship between the Lab and all other arms of the hospital.
    • Constantly growing and adopting latest developments, skills/techniques as the demands of the job change with time
    • Carrying out any other reasonable task towards the development of the lab as occasion/emergency may necessitate.
    • Guiding, assisting and contributing to the training of Lab student interns
    • Routine examination of Industrial training students and other trainees for appraisal of their performance and making subsequent report to the hospital management as the need may arise.

    Job Requirement

    • Minimum of Bachelors’ Degree in Medical Laboratory Science or Biomedical Science from a reputable institution.
    • Licensed member of the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria (MLSCN).
    • Excellent communication ability in English Language.
    • Basic computer literacy/usability of day-to-day data entry, analyses and processing tools such as Microsoft Office.
    • Ability to learn fast and adapt to new environment.
    • Minimum 4 years’ Experience of working as a certified medical laboratory scientist.
