    Lifting & Rigging Engineer

    Main Responsibility 

    • Demonstrate a high level of safety awareness to ensure all MSC subcontractors are aware of lifting standards; to proactively assist the contractor whoever necessary to improve and maintain HSE performance. 
    • As when required by the business will have the competency to generate lifting plan that has comprehensive engineering analysis, design consideration and requisite loading and crane schematics in line with best practice. 
    • Carry out review of all Simple, Complicated, Critical, Tandem and Complex lifting plan prior to submittal to Client Technical Authority (TA) for approval when the need arises 
    • Support to deliver in-house training when the need arises. This may take the form of formal or informal courses delivered by HR 
    • Review and assess competency of the lifting and riggings teams involved in the shutdown activities to ensure availability, adequacy, and validity of the required level of expertise to perform the assigned tasks including trainings and qualifications 
    • Coordinate and manage in accordance with assigned Roles and Responsibilities as per Company policies and procedures 
    • Ascertains that equipment is operable and performing according to standard safety norms and to resolve any unexpected technical difficulties /challenges & other problems that may arise during execution time 
    • Assist field personnel (supervisors, riggers) in the analysis and assessment of risk related activities and provide required technical expertise as and when necessary 
    • Monitor and assist (as required), in bridging the competence gaps of Contractor parties involved in the rigging & lifting process 

    Job Requirement:  Education  

    • BSc/BE/B.Tech. in Mechanical or Civil Engineering with extensive rigging, loading and structural analysis experience  

    Experience 

    • Minimum of 5 years' work experience as Heavy Lifting Engineer, 7 years minimum within the Oil and Gas industry for maintenance and/or construction operation. He or she must have a good interpersonal skill, self-sufficient and adaptable, confident in site work situations and can work under pressure.

    Mechanical Assessor (Expat)

    JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE

    • To supervise the Competency Development and Assurance of the technical workforce within the Production Engineering Maintenance Section ensuring that Plant Availability, Reliability, and Integrity objectives are achieved for exporting LNG, LPG, and Condensate,
    • in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. This position continuously develops Technicians, including senior and principal technicians, through coaching and mentoring in the Assessment and Progression (A&P) skill acquisition.

    MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Assist to ensure that the A&P (Assessment and Progression) scheme content stays current by rejuvenating competencies, writing competencies, generating underpinning knowledge tests and developing training materials in line with any plant equipment upgrades to ensure continuous LNG Train operation, gas receipt from suppliers, and loading of LNG, LPG, and Condensate to our valued customers.
    • Assist to manage the implementation of the A&P (Assessment and Progression) scheme within the Line, including on the-job-training, assessment observations and imputing data to maintain a current profile for each of the technicians, hence ensuring that a very competent Workforce maintains plant Production facilities for continuous LNG Train operation, gas receipt from suppliers, and loading of LNG, LPG, and Condensate to our valued customers.
    • Identify learning & development gaps that require Head of Technical Training intervention and liaise with Competence Assurance Coordinator and Discipline Trainer for implementation to assure the required A&P Competency level is achieved for technical staff.
    • Guide technicians and graduate trainees collect and present evidence for assessments and to ensure tasks undertaken are carried out in line with company HSSE standards and procedures. Maintain graduate trainee Personal Development Plan (PDP) to ensure required competencies are achieved.
    • Review and judge evidence against stated criteria, record assessment decisions and provide constructive feedback to the technicians, respective supervisors and
    • Discipline Trainers, update A&P portfolios and keep track of their progress to assure the required competencies for staff are achieved.
    • Assist in coaching and developing Portfolios for all company Maintenance /Engineering staff selected to be assessors within the A&P 1 & 2 schemes.
    • Attend A&P-1 scheme progress meetings as well as skill pool meetings to keep abreast with any changes within NLNG plant facilities.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Experience and qualifications

    • HND or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
    • Qualified On-Job-Trainer and Instructor. Also, A1, L9DI or D 32-33 and Internal verifier

    Electrical Work Planner

    JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE  

    • Support the planning and execution of all approved shutdowns / turnaround (planned and unplanned) scope of work for the LNG Trains and utilities (GTGs) to ensure delivery of Business Plan in terms of HSE, plant availability, integrity, and performance to guarantee delivery of committed LNG, LPG, and Condensates in a competitive manner.

    MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES·

    • Assist in the planning of all Trains and utilities (GTG) T/As by ensuring accurate and complete preparation of Drives/Switchgears/Transformers/Specialized Motors work packages and work order generation.·
    • Develop and periodically update Event specific functional plan in accordance with T/A Milestone Plan.·
    • Support in the execution of the Health Safety and Environment (HSE) strategy for all Trains and GTG T/As and ensure implementation and compliance with Shutdown HSE targets.·
    • Assist in the management of the Shutdown electrical team(s) during execution phase towards delivering the planned Trains and GTG outages/shutdowns in accordance with approved Shutdown Premise KPIs for all Trains / GTG shutdowns.·
    • Assess the effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuously improving systems, personnel, and team performance.· Assist in the coordination of sub-contractors during the execution phase of shutdowns.· 

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Education

    • A University degree or Higher National Diploma in Engineering (Electrical or Electronics)

    Experience

    • 3- 5 years post-graduation experience, out of which at least 2 years should have been spent in and around TA front-end preparation, execution and post-execution works. 2
    • Good understanding of Integrated Safe System of Works (ISSOW) and must be a valid Permit to Work Holder
    • Must have hands-on experience in maintenance of Drives/Switchgears/Transformers/Specialized Motors systems
    • This job function is categorized through the HEMP process as a Level-1 HSSE Critical Position and as such is subject to the competency compliance conditions.
    • Computer literate in MS Office applications and Knowledge of PACER.

    Instrument Work Planner

    Scaffold Work Planner

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Turnaround Rigging and Lifting Planning:
    • Develop and prepare detailed lifting and rigging plans for all turnaround (TAR) maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with NLNG standards,operational requirements, and safety regulations.
    • Plan lifting operations for maintenance activities such as equipment  installation,component replacements, and removal of large machinery or  structural parts.

    Risk Assessment and Safety Management:

    • Conduct  thorough risk assessments for all rigging and lifting operations involved  in the turnaround maintenance activities, identifying potential hazards  and implementing effective mitigation strategies.
    • Ensure that all planned lifting operations comply with safety protocols,including load stability, fall protection, and environmental factors.

    Verification of Lifting Operations:

    • Verify and inspect all lifting and rigging setups during turnaround maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with approved lifting plans and safety  guidelines.
    • Oversee the execution of lifting operations, ensuring that rigging teams follow  the established procedures and that equipment is safely and correctly  used.

    Coordination with Other Teams:

    • Work closely with the Turnaround Event Manager, engineering teams, maintenance planners, and other departments to ensure that rigging and lifting activities are properly coordinated with the overall turnaround plan.

    Lifting Equipment Management:

    • Ensure  that all lifting equipment (e.g., cranes, hoists, winches) and rigging gear (e.g., slings, shackles, lifting beams) are available, maintained,and in good working order for turnaround maintenance.

    Educational Qualifications:

    • HND/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
    • Certification in lifting and rigging (e.g., Lifting and Rigging Supervisor Certificate, Crane Operator certification, or similar industry-standard qualifications) is highly desirable.
    • Experience:
    • At least 5–8 years of experience in rigging and lifting operations, specifically in turnaround maintenance, shutdowns, or large-scaleindustrial operations (e.g., oil & gas, LNG, petrochemicals).
    • Experience  with planning and executing rigging/lifting operations during planned maintenance activities or turnarounds.

    Civil Inspector Engineer (Marine)

    JOB PURPOSE / OBJECTIVE:  

    • Manage and support field activities to assure civil work execution is done safely, according to schedule, conforms to codes and specifications and are accurately measured and recorded.  

    MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:  

    • Supervise all work activities and ensure compliance to plans, scope, specifications and identify any errors in plans; ensures safe and optimal working of construction personnel. 
    • Manage and maintain accurate field notes and flow of technical information; prepare comprehensive assessment reports for all infrastructural, structural and fabric works. 
    • Perform regular preventive maintenance routine (inspection) on civil tasks and assist to organize all schedules/tasks and evaluate all job specifications. 
    • Oversee all civil engineering tasks/activities within assigned area, inspect materials, assist to review work processes to recommend improvements where necessary, ensure compliance to specifications and construction schedule; prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports accordingly. 
    • Prepare civil engineering work specifications, planning documents, procedures and respond to customer enquiries within required timeframe. Provide recommendation for repair works and ensure compliance to specifications of the completed work. 
    • Participate in evaluation of personnel to advise on suitability for planned tasks. 
    • Carry out duties in line with provided project guidelines, specifications, industry standards and make suggestions for improvements where necessary for best value to company. 

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    Education 

    • B.Sc./ B.Tech Hons degree (second class lower division minimum) in civil engineering. 

    Experience  

    • Minimum of eight years’ experience in civil/structural in a construction or engineering consulting company operating in the oil and gas environment.   
    • 2 or more years in construction and maintenance of marine facilities.
