    Business Development (Retail Sales)

    Job Sumary

    To manage retail client relationships by providing investment advice of superior quality and ensuring clients’ investment portfolios are always optimally structured to meet their investment objectives.

    To ensure we grow number of retail clients by seeking referrals from existing clients and through appropriate profiling of prospects. These prospects would be derived through personal contacts etc and would be done with a strategic intent to ensure that we could add value to them.

    To independently develop strategies with your supervisor (based on a thorough understanding of the asset management industry and developing trends) to grow the business and maintain the company’s leading position in the industry.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Develop a good understanding of the businesses and services – have a strong understanding of ARM Group businesses and how they interrelate. The end goal is to ensure we offer our clients services suitable to meet their needs.
    • Understand the essence of financial planning and how this is essential for client acquisition and management.
    • Ensure anunderstanding of the products and services with ARM Investment Managers
    • Ensure you have a good understanding of how capital markets work and a broad understanding of Nigerian Capital Market and also an interest in Global markets
    • Continuous monitoring of developments in the macro-economic environment in general and in the financial service sector in particular with a view to taking advantage of the emerging opportunities and minimize the potential threats to our business e.g. changes in clients’ needs and values, competitor activities, regulatory changes, tax laws etc

    Principal Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure thorough and prompt prospecting of potential clients to achieve a conversion rate that ensures targets for the period are promptly met.
    • Provision of Investment Management Service of superior quality designed to meet client’s investment objectives, which will include effectively match clients’ investment profile with asset allocation recommendations
    • Active involvement in preparation of financial year budget and development & implementation of strategies to achieve this budget
    • Regular communication with your Supervisor & Unit Head, and other team members to keep them updated on business activities and to resolve issues/problems relating to client relations and marketing that may rise from time to time
    • Work closely with supervisor to understand the strategic direction for the business
    • Generation of new and creative ideas for new products development, to broaden the range of investment management services available to existing and potential clients
    • Active involvement and participation in business development and companywide meetings/forums
    • Working as a team player with other teams, departments and businesses
    • Maintaining a professional outlook and conduct at all times to project a positive image for ARM
    • Development of a personal scorecard for current and subsequent financial year in line with the business unit scorecard. Report monthly to supervisor on updates on achievements/ goals set on the score card

    Senior Portfolio Manager

    The SPM is responsible for contributing to the formulation of investment strategies, product development and process improvement initiatives; maintain coverage of assigned research responsibilities; ensuring efficient trade execution, portfolio administration and transaction processing; supporting Junior Portfolio Managers and maintaining secondary responsibility for asset portfolio.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    Investment Strategy:

    Active contribution to the development and implementation of strategies to improve the portfolio management function. The Position Holder is also responsible for the implementation of agreed investment strategies and action plans and ensuring adherence to investment mandates and client profiles.

    Client Relationship Management:

    Preparation of period-end portfolio review reports for clients as requested by PPM.

    Reports and Presentations:

    Preparation of strategy reports and presentations on quarterly, half-yearly and annual basis, or as required. The Position Holder is also responsible for actively participating in the preparation and delivery of client presentations when necessary.

    Portfolio Appraisal:

    Conduct periodic return appraisals for all portfolios with the help of PPM. Portfolio analysis, including portfolio optimization, index/ benchmark and asset class analysis

    Research:

    Responsible for preparing research articles, notes and reports, as well as developing and improving research tools.

    Product Development:

    Contribution to product development

    Market Research:

    • Ongoing assessment of the universe of investible markets, asset classes and securities (using top-down and bottom-up approaches) and maintenance of associated records.
    • The Position Holder is also responsible for the formulation and articulation of views on economies, markets and/ or individual securities with a view to guiding the investment decision-making process

    Financial and Trading Analysis:

    Perform detailed financial, product and trading analysis and build valuation models

    Trade Execution:

    Trade execution, including compilation and dissemination of approved portfolio trade orders to counterparties. The Position Holder is also responsible for ensuring efficient and accurate posting of portfolio and transaction data.

    Educational/Professional Requirement

    BSc., Professional certification in finance and/or accounting from a recognized professional body (e.g. CFA, CGMA, ACCA, ICAN etc.)

    Senior Internal Audit Officer

    Job Summary

    The purpose of this role is to help in developing and delivery of the Group’s internal audit strategy and plan and ensure compliance with established policies, procedures and regulatory requirements throughout the company
    Foster a control conscious environment within the company by providing reliable, valued and timely assurance on corporate governance, risks and controls and enhancing the control culture
    The duties/responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    • Assist Supervisor in the development of the annual Internal Audit plan.
    • Support Supervisor in the development and implementation of the evolving IA methodology for the business.
    • Develop a risk-based test plan by selecting appropriate audit approach, test procedures and sampling criteria based on professional judgment and departmentally defined internal audit methodology.
    • Perform audit tests and prepare working papers in accordance with professional IIA standards and IA methodology.
    • Evaluate the adequacy of process design and the effectiveness of controls in meeting business and control objectives.
    • Conduct investigations as instructed and ensure detailed evidence/documentation is retained for all findings related to the investigation
    • Contribute to the safeguarding of corporate assets by ensuring that appropriate internal controls are in place and operating effectively.
    • Identify and document control and process weaknesses and provide evidential support for findings.
    • Propose practical and value-added recommendations to address control weaknesses and/or process inefficiencies.
    • Organize and reference work papers for review by Supervisor.
    • Participate in closing meetings with client at the end of fieldwork, providing clear explanations for identified issues.
    • Perform consulting services for management through participation in projects designed to introduce new and/or changing processes, products or facilities
    • Develop and maintain effective and professional working relationships with all levels of staff within the organization, including Senior Management and Audit Committee of the Board.

    Minimum Qualification Requirement

    • BSc in Business, Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
    • A recognized professional designation in Accounting or Internal Auditing (ACA, ACCA, CMA, CGA, CIA or CISA).
    • CFE Designation is required.
    • Good understanding of risk and control concepts and the ability to apply these concepts to evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of business processes and controls to mitigate risk to tolerance levels defined by management
    • Knowledge of COSO Risk and Internal Control framework would be an asset
    • Working knowledge of professional IIA performance standards with regarding to planning, testing, sampling and documentation.
    • Minimum of five (4) years relevant work experience in Internal Audit, within financial services or a professional accounting firm will be an added advantage.
    • Proficient in use of data analytical tools (eg SQL, R Analytics, Power BI)

    Digital Marketing Analyst

    Job Objective(s)

    The Digital Marketing Analyst will analyze the company’s digital marketing performance and propose actionable strategies to improve digital marketing performance and maximize returns. He/she should possess a data-driven mindset and be skilled at interpreting data and turning it into actionable insights.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Creating Digital Marketing Campaigns: Design digital marketing campaigns to effectively promote companies, products, ideas, or brands based on the desires of the client paying for the advertising.
    • Competitive Analysis: Determine the strengths and weaknesses of the competition in the market and pinpoint advantageous strategies. Tactics include deterring competition from entering your market and discover weaknesses that can be exploited within the product development cycle.
    • Analyze Marketing Data: determine the effectiveness of marketing campaigns by analyzing page clicks, keyword hits, search engine traffic, other data and set up a tracking mechanism (e.g. event and conversion tracking) on the website and other digital assets such as mobile apps
    • Advise Marketing Teams: Keep marketing and sales teams up-to-date on current campaigns, informing them on which aspects of campaigns are the most effective and which are not, and advising them on how to tweak campaigns to get maximum attention and create more revenue.
    • Cultivate and Maintain Client Relationships: Provide clients with frequent updates on the status of their advertising campaigns, advise them on the success of campaigns compared to marketing costs, and make suggestions to increase marketing effectiveness when necessary.
    • Write Marketing Reports: Create detailed reports showing the amount of traffic online campaigns are creating, how much campaigns cost, and outlining the timetables and schedules for online marketing campaigns.
    • Manage Pay-per-Click Accounts: Oversee the budget data for pay-per-click accounts on a daily basis to manage campaign costs and provide expense information to the business.
    • Report on critical product metrics: Drive successful communication campaigns, and report on relevant product metrics  -  Churn rate, CLV, Adoption rate etc,.
    • Email Marketing (Deployment & Analysis): Utilize email as a form of direct marketing and functions as a means of communicating marketing messages, advertisements, sales solicitation or a call for business to an audience through a software. Upon completion, analyse campaign results and use for business decisions.
    • Product enhancement coordination: Proactively seek user information to build usefeul ingishts  for updating product features

    Others:

    • Testing campaigns, analyzing key metrics, and identifying opportunities to increase campaign performance.
    • Developing and presenting learnings from analyses, including actionable insights and recommendations.
    • Developing digital campaign and web measurement strategies.

    Head, Research

    Job Summary 

    The Head, Research is responsible for providing oversight over the research / analysis of securities data target industries, markets, and capital markets, with the aim of providing own audience with a robust evidence-base in making investment decisions

    Core Responsibilities

    Research:

    Oversee the collection of market data & trendspotting on various classes of security instruments, and their transformation into actionable information through fundamental, technical, and quantitative analysis, presented in periodic research notes with the aim of supporting investment decision-making by both internal teams (i.e. client relations, & proprietary trading desks), and the company’s clientele (retail and institutional).

    Provide analytical support in the production, and maintenance of marketing collaterals for the securities business.

    Portfolio Optimization:

    Lead detailed, and extensive analysis of investment portfolios to both internal teams, and the company’s clientele with the aim of driving their effective decision- making in deriving maximum return and minimizing costs like financial costs within the context of constraints such as regulations, taxes, and transaction costs.

    Support Business Development Activities:

    Develop customized marketing documents, and research for the purpose of sales pitches to prospective institutional clients. Active participation in the firm’s sales roadshows to both local, and foreign institutional clients, as well as in presentations to clients.

    Team Lead, Treasury Settlement

    Responsibilities:

    • Execution of all Funds/Institutional Client’s transactions regarding placements and Liquidations in the Interbank Market by preparing instructions to transferring counterparty/receiving counterparty and uploading payments on the Bank payment platform
    • Prompt execution and settlement of all securities Trades i.e. FGN Bonds, FGN TBills, Eurobonds via the Custodian.
    • Timely recording of daily transactions i.e. Liquidations and investment, Securities purchase/sale, across all portfolios on the Maturities Blotter and posting of same on the portfolio management system.
    • Preparation of necessary reports as it relates to interbank settlement i.e. FI Database and ensure same is sent to internal stakeholders daily.
    • Daily call over of transactions initiated to ensure that all instructions initiated are executed.
    • Reconciliation of all outstanding transactions and SEC/Custodian reports.
    • Ensure retrieval of contract notes from counterparties on all completed transactions and accuracy of the parameters contained therein are as agreed
    • Ensure that transactions are processed in strict adherence to agreed SLAs
    • Provide Bank Relationship Management Support
    • Provide Funds Management support
    • Provide support in the management of ARM Investor Notes and ensure daily posting/call over of transactions on the portfolio management software (Deluxe)

    Knowlege Requirements

    • Good knowledge of  Investment & Treasury structured product sales

    Educational and Professional Requirements

    • Bachelors Degree required, Masters Degree added Advantage
    • Detailed knowledge of treasury products
    • Negotiates with good judgment among multiple stakeholders who may have conflicting needs
    • Balances opportunities with business risk objectives to reach optimal results
