    Head, Strategy & Innovation

    • The Head of Strategy & Innovation at NCF will be responsible for driving enterprise-wide strategic planning, overseeing performance monitoring and learning frameworks, and spearheading digital innovation to enhance organizational impact. This role requires deep expertise in strategy execution, cross-functional leadership, and the ability to translate insights into actionable decisions that position NCF for long-term sustainability and growth.

    Responsibilities

    • Provide leadership for NCF’s Corporate Strategy & Execution, Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning, Digital Transformation, and IT Operations functions
    • Drive enterprise-wide strategic planning and alignment of annual workplans with the NCF Strategic Action Plan
    • Facilitate the communication of strategic insights across departments and leadership teams to drive execution
    • Oversee institutional performance monitoring, organizational scorecards, and KPI dashboards through M&E frameworks
    • Manage evaluations, after-action reviews, and organizational learning to strengthen adaptive capacity
    • Lead research, foresight, and innovation initiatives to inform strategy, improve systems, and enhance delivery models
    • Supervise digital transformation efforts and guide IT operations to support organizational goals and efficiency
    • Serve as a strategic advisor to the Director General, ensuring integration of strategy into daily operations
    • Organise and lead internal strategy updates, retreats, and reporting routines across the organisation

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Economics, Public Policy, Business Administration, Development Studies, Strategic Management, or related fields
    • Relevant certifications in Strategy Execution, Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2), or Balanced Scorecard Frameworks are an advantage
    • At least 10 years of progressively responsible experience in strategy development, performance management, or organizational learning
    • Demonstrated experience in driving cross-functional alignment, managing complex institutional initiatives, and facilitating learning systems
    • Experience in the non-profit, environmental, or public sector will be an added advantage

    Skills / Competence Requirements

    • Advanced strategic planning and organizational alignment capabilities
    • Results-based performance monitoring and scorecard management expertise

    Head, Corporate Services

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Public Administration, Management, or a related field
    • Membership in professional bodies such as:
      • Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM)
      • Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSAN)
      • Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM)
    • Certifications in Project Management (e.g., PMP) or IT Governance (e.g., ITIL) are desirable for cross-functional oversight
    • 8–10 years of progressive experience across corporate services functions (HR, Admin, Procurement, and IT), preferably within the non-profit, development, or public sector
    • Minimum of 3–4 years in a managerial or supervisory role with cross-functional responsibility
    • Experience in policy development, systems implementation, and compliance monitoring

    Skills / Competence Requirements

    • Advanced workforce planning, talent acquisition, and talent management expertise
    • Strong leadership in learning and development strategy for staff growth and capacity building
    • Strategic oversight of administrative systems, procurement, and vendor management
    • Expertise in asset management, security, and logistics coordination
    • Proficiency in policy development, compliance governance, and operational risk management
    • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with proven change management experience
    • Familiarity with Nigerian labor law, donor compliance requirements, and audit standards
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
    • Proficiency in enterprise tools (ERP, HRIS, procurement systems, etc.)

    Responsibilities

    • Provide leadership for HR (talent acquisition, management, and learning & development) and Admin & Procurement (asset management, vendor management, procurement, security, and logistics) functions
    • Align internal operations with NCF’s Strategic Action Plan and donor compliance requirements
    • Develop and implement HR and administrative policies, SOPs, and compliance frameworks to ensure efficiency and accountability
    • Partner with HR to execute workforce planning, performance management, and staff development initiatives
    • Manage procurement processes, vendor relationships, and asset lifecycle to optimize resources and maintain compliance
    • Oversee office administration, security, and logistics, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations
    • Advise leadership on strategic resourcing and institutional support needs
    • Support CFO and Finance Team in implementing robust internal controls and audit processes
    • Monitor and report on KPIs, staff satisfaction, operational readiness, and compliance outcomes
    • Provide regular updates to EXCO and the Director General on corporate services performance and improvement plans

    Director, Communication Policy & Advocacy

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in Communications, Public Policy, International Relations, Environmental Law, Media, or related field.
    • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in policy advocacy, media relations, or corporate communications, preferably in conservation, sustainability, development, or public interest sectors.
    • Demonstrated experience managing advocacy campaigns, influencing legislation or policy, and engaging with senior government or intergovernmental stakeholders.
    • Strong familiarity with legal and regulatory frameworks related to environment and conservation is an added advantage.

    Skills/Competence Requirements

    • Strong policy analysis, legal interpretation, and strategic advocacy skills.
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with expertise in persuasive storytelling, public speaking, and content development.
    • Deep understanding of media dynamics, digital communications, and brand management.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and cross-functional collaboration.
    • Skilled in stakeholder engagement, coalition building, and public affairs.
    • Strong judgment, leadership presence, and ability to represent the organization at the highest levels.
    • Proficiency with communication tools, analytics, and design platforms is desirable

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the development of science-based policy positions aligned with NCF’s strategic priorities.
    • Design and implement national and sub-national advocacy strategies to influence environmental legislation, policies, and resource allocation.
    • Engage with policymakers, legislators, regulators, and partners to promote policy outcomes supportive of conservation.
    • Provide legal support and guidance on policy-related matters and represent NCF in relevant policy or legislative platforms.
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive communications and branding strategy that strengthens public awareness, stakeholder confidence, and NCF’s reputation.
    • Oversee media relations, including press releases, interviews, crisis communications, and media partnerships.
    • Serve as the official spokesperson for the Foundation on advocacy and public relations matters.
    • Oversee development of impactful content across digital platforms—web, social media, email campaigns, and multimedia.
    • Guide storytelling initiatives, publications, graphic design, internal communications, and editorial calendars to ensure brand consistency and strategic alignment.
    • Measure digital engagement performance and adapt strategies to maximize reach and influence.
    • Collaborate with programme, fundraising, and executive teams to align messaging and donor communications.
    • Support community campaigns, public dialogues, and coalition-building efforts.
    • Lead strategic events and conferences aimed at raising NCF’s profile and positioning within the national and global conservation ecosystem.
