Job Summary
We are looking for a Station Cashier for our ASABA Station will be responsible for handling customer payments, maintaining accurate sales records, reconciling daily transactions, and ensuring efficient cash management at the station. The role also involves delivering excellent customer service while complying with the company’s operational and financial procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Cash Handling & Financial Transactions
- Receive and process payments for fuel, lubricants, and other station products through cash, POS, and bank transfers.
- Issue receipts and ensure accurate billing for all transactions.
- Maintain proper accountability of cash received during each shift.
- Balance cash collections and reconcile transactions at the end of each shift.
Sales Recording & Reconciliation
- Accurately record daily sales transactions.
- Reconcile fuel sales, cash, POS receipts, and transfers daily.
- Prepare and submit daily sales and reconciliation reports to management.
- Report shortages, overages, or suspicious transactions immediately.
Customer Service
- Attend to customers professionally and courteously.
- Address customer inquiries and escalate complaints where necessary.
- Ensure customers are attended to promptly to maintain efficient service delivery.
Operational Support
- Support the Station Supervisor/Manager in daily station operations.
- Assist in monitoring lubricant and convenience store sales where applicable.
- Ensure the cashier point is clean, organized, and secure at all times.
Compliance & Control
- Adhere strictly to company financial policies and operational procedures.
- Ensure proper handling and safeguarding of company funds.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company records.
- Comply with all health, safety, and security guidelines of the company.
Qualifications
- Minimum of HND/Bsc,
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a retail/service environment is an added advantage.

- Minimum of HND/Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 2–5 years supervisory experience in the oil & gas or retail sector.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Basic accounting and inventory management knowledge.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple responsibilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is an added advantage.
