    Associate (Equity)

    The Position will report to the MD/CEO and will supervise a team of investment

    Responsibilities

    • Analyze &  conduct due diligence on private equity Sub-Saharan Africa focused fund & co-investment opportunities, including building/modifying discounted cash flow &  LBO and other valuation models
    • Work with legal counsel to review deal terms &  negotiate &  execute investment
    • Prepare &  present investment recommendations &  due diligence findings to internal committees &  clients.
    • Support fundraising efforts for private equity &  real estate funds and other funds.
    • Client relationship management support including ongoing portfolio management & reporting activities from investment to exit.
    • Develop and manage Investment deal flows in the sector of focus of the Private Equity
    • Use financial research materials &  databases as part of due diligence, research & transaction advisory process.
    • Supervise junior analysts/interns including training them on investment analysis & internal processes.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor& degree in Accountancy, Economics, Finance or any of the Numerate
    • disciplines with a minimum of 2:1 and an MBA from a reputable University.
    • Professional Qualification such as ACA and CFA will be required.
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the position offered or in a related private equity associate or analyst position.
    • Must have led a professional investment team of 2 to 3 staff for over 2 years.
    • The experience garnered must have included fundraising & providing investment recommendations directly to clients, building/modifying discounted cash flow & valuation models, analyzing &  structuring in Sub-Saharan Africa private equity transactions, & performing research and due diligence.

    REPORTING OFFICER: SOIL TECHNICIAN I.

    DEPARTMENT/PROJECT:   BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

    Summary of Responsibilities:
    The job holder will be responsible for our client’s school Lab truck while supporting the other team members to realize the goals and objectives of our clients School Lab project.

    Main Functions:

    • Responsible for the clients school Lab truck- Driving, maintenance and safety.
    • Will keep the truck in good conditions at all times.
    • Will use the vehicle/truck in safe conditions without constituting any risk to life and equipment.
    • Will keep daily records of all activities of our client’s school Lab truck- fuel consumption, millage, maintenance, etc.
    • Will support the other team members in the setting up of mobile laboratory in each farming community on daily basis.
    • Will support the Soil technicians in receiving collected soil samples and analysing soil samples collected using the mobile laboratory.
    • Perform other duties that may be assigned to him during the campaign by Soil Technicians and the Field Agronomist.

    Contacts:
    Will have contacts with other teams and partners on the project and participating farmers.

    Relevant information.
    This job role requires traveling on daily basis. The job owner will be on a road journey to farming communities in Kaduna State during the entire campaign. This may necessitate the job owner to sleep in local communities.

    Qualification :
    Diploma in any related discipline.

    Skills:

    • Excellent driving skills.
    • Good soil analysis skills will be an added advantage.
    • Good IT skills- Use of computer and basic office and communication tools.
    • Candidates must have the necessary licenses and permits to drive light duty trucks.

    • Support the Extension Agents and representatives of partners on the project to provide qualitative training to farmers on best farming practices.
    • Perform other duties that may be assigned to him during the campaign by Soil Technician I and the Field Agronomist.
    • Will have contacts with the other teams, partners on the project and participating farmers.

    • Support the Extension Agents and representatives of partners on the project to provide qualitative training to farmers on best farming practices.
    • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports for the use of our client’s top management.
    • Perform other duties that may be assigned to him during the campaign
    • Will have contacts with the other teams, partners on the project and participating farmers.

    Qualification :
    A university Degree/Higher National Diploma/ National Diploma in Agronomy, Soil Science or any other related course.

    Export Manager

    Roles and Responsibilities

    • Will develop new business across Europe, the Middle East and America
    • Will be working closely with the CEO to develop and implement sales strategy.
    • Will negotiate price deals, monitor account profitability as well as develop relationships with distributors and agents.
    • Will represent the business at relevant exhibitions and industry associations.
    • Will act as clearing house for commodity exports, planning and coordinating the international shipment of goods
    • Will identify current and potential overseas buyers of these products from USA, India, Europe, etc., and volume of export
    • Will establish relationship and obtain necessary licenses with NEPC, NACC for AGOA and USAID, etc.

    Skills and experience:

    •  Minimum educational qualification of First Degree
    • Several years’ experience of involvement in commodity export business.
    • Able to demonstrate solid understanding of the commodity exports trade
    • Proven track record of strategic business development, managing budgets and analyzing sales figures.
    • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
    • Highly organized, efficient time manager with a high degree of personal discipline and working to tight deadlines.
    • Knowledge of international contract terms, foreign currencies, tariffs and trading regulations.
    • Ability to travel extensively when required.

    Salary is N5M – N6.5M with an official car upon confirmation.
