    Field Debt Recovery Officer

    Level: Experienced

    About the Job

    • We are currently seeking passionate individuals with a flair for debt recovery to join our team in Lagos, Ogun and Abuja respectively.
    • Your main responsibility is ensuring that our customers with delinquent loan accounts are visited, negotiate overdue payments and where necessary initiates recovery action.
    • Moreover, you will also be accountable for improving our overall collections rate. The Debt recovery officer will report to the Head of debt recovery.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Keep track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts
    • Plan course of action to recover outstanding payments
    • Locate and contact debtors to inquire of their payment status
    • Decide regularly which loans may be terminated and supervise the termination process
    • Look after insolvent borrowers in the context of e.g. administration, liquidation, debt management plan as well as bankruptcy
    • Enhancing the debt recovery process and working with the internal team and external collection agencies, integration with the Customer Support unit
    • Introducing debt recovery initiatives to test new ideas aiming at lowering defaults, by leveraging on data and technology
    • Preparation of reports, providing insights based on data analysis and identification of patterns
    • Regularly review the communication in use in order to achieve efficiency and effectiveness.

    Your Profile

    • A University Degree from any related field is preferred.
    • 2 years and above experience in microfinance operations directly dealing with delinquent clients and other problem-solving situations.

    • Analyze various risk elements of our clients under the assigned industry sectors/products

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute credit portfolio risk monitoring activities, including analytics.
    • Create, enhance and maintain reports on key risk metrics, concentrations, and stratifications of the loan portfolio.
    • Prepare and provide clear and accurate information as requested by auditors, regulators, and other stakeholders.
    • Anticipate regulatory risk by regularly monitoring the regulatory landscape.
    • Responsible for preparing ad-hoc risk management reports as assigned.
    • Responsible for the update of relationship loan histories, and determining appropriate exposure levels.
    • Partner with cross-functional teams (Product, Developers, UI/UX Designers, Marketing & Growth) to optimize conversion rates.

    Your Profile

    • A Graduate Degree in a relevant field of study, previous experience in the financial sector is a strong plus
    • Ideally, you have a good understanding of Credit Risk Management and the metrics that are used to measure these risks
    • Some experience with coordinating IT implementation projects and the ability to work on multiple tasks in a non-routine environment
    • Need to have some technical affinity, to better understand what the coders are doing, paired with data analysis skills (e.g. SQL queries)
    • Skilled in Excel and handling of large data (with SQL); basic coding skills in at least one programming language [and experience with statistical modeling] are an asset.
    • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze significant amounts of raw data and draw valid inferences and present them successfully to management using a reporting tool 
    • Technical writing skills

    • High attention to detail and accuracy

    • QuickCheck is seeking to hire an Accountant to join its team in Lagos, reporting directly to the country Senior Accountant. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations involving all accounting transactions, bookkeeping, bank reconciliations, expenses, bank payments, local taxes, capital importation, allocation of idle funds, and financial reporting.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage all accounting transactions that come through the business
    • Process the bank statements and perform bank reconciliations
    • Carrying out reconciliation of all bank operations accounts.
    • Monthly filing of statutory (PAYE, VAT, WHT, etc.)
    • Processing of invoices and liaising with other departments regarding payables.
    • Handling any other financial function delegated by Superior or management staff.
    • Record day-to-day financial transactions 
    • Verify that transactions are recorded in the correct account allocations
    • Prepare a monthly Profit and Loss Statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement
    • Audit financial transactions and documents

    Your Profile

    • First Degree in accounting or finance-related discipline.
    • Minimum of 2 years experience post-NYSC
    • Professional student of Accounting (ICAN, ACCA, etc.) would be added advantage
    • Exposure to finance or bank-related functions would be an added advantage.
    • Versatile in using ERP such as Xero, NAV Dynamic, Sage, etc
