    TikTok Channel Manager

    Position Summary

    • We are looking for a creative, social-media-focused individual to manage the official TikTok account of Pulse Nigeria.
    • This opportunity sits within the Pulse Content Team and reports directly to the Head of Social.
    • To be successful in this role, you will need to see the big picture and execute daily at the highest level.
    • You will need to understand the mission and vision of Pulse, and quickly identify how to engage Pulse’s young audience on TikTok through content, features, and innovative creations.
    • You will be challenged to push boundaries, propose and execute new ideas, and establish best practices for Pulse on TikTok.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Manage Pulse Nigeria’s TikTok presence including content strategy, creative briefing, media, publishing, reporting/optimization, innovation
    • Set channel-level goals - report on progress weekly to the Head of Social Media
    • Manage and collaborate with agency/creative partners
    • Serve as the primary TikTok subject matter expert for Pulse Nigeria’s clients
    • Bring new and big ideas for how to grow the channel, scale to other social channels.

    Desired Skills & Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree
    • 1 - 2 years of relevant experience in social media marketing with a particular emphasis on TikTok
    • Experience building a big brand presence and content strategy for TikTok
    • Ability to deal with ambiguous problems and build solutions with proper project management
    • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders and lead cross-functional projects across categories or other departments
    • Understanding of TikTok metrics including collecting, analyzing and acting upon
    • Aptitude for being organized with flexibility and for delivering results in a fast-paced environment
    • Bonus qualification is that you love producing videos for TikTok and can create for Pulse Nigeria's channel too.

    Video Editor & Cinematographer

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Create high-quality video content for client video projects
    • Videography in-house and on the field as assigned
    • Work to a brief, develop and pitch creative ideas and concepts, choosing the appropriate media and style to meet objectives
    • Overall editing responsibilities and quality control of all edits - including choice of images and videos, soundtrack, text placement, proofreading and cross-checking facts, spelling, grammar, writing style, colour, etc.
    • Secure appropriate rights, licenses and clearances for video, image, and soundtrack usage to avoid copyright infringement
    • Contribute to new video format development and implementation
    • All around assistance on post-production activities
    • You may be required to manage more than one brief at a time and will therefore have to prioritise effectively, allocating the relevant amount of time and resources according to the value of the job - ensuring that deadlines are met on all video projects
    • Ensure proper organisation and safekeeping of video footage and logs
    • Event coverage as required
    • You will keep abreast of emerging technologies in new media, particularly video and design programs such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, 3ds Max, and other relevant programs from the Adobe Creative Suite
    • Maintain strong, trusting relationships with all internal and external collaborators - clients and internal teams.

    Desired Skills & Experience

    • Experience working on branded video content is preferred
    • Great videography/ video editing portfolio
    • Skilled with video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc and a good working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator as it applies video post-production
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills to keep the team up to date on project timelines
    • Very organised, goal-oriented, and can drive results while multi-tasking priorities
    • Good knowledge of Google Workspace - docs, sheets, drive, slides, etc.
    • A lot of energy, passion and enthusiasm.
