Nile University is seeking to engage a highly competent and result-oriented Treasury Accountant and General Accountant with strong personal and professional integrity to join its dynamic Finance team.

1)  General Accountant (Financial Control) (NUN-FIN-002)

The General Accountant (Financial Control) will be responsible for:

• Analyzing transactions and raising appropriate journals for processing into the ERP system.
• Managing pre-payment and accruals transactions.
• Computing appropriate WHT to be deducted at source from applicable transactions.
• Maintaining appropriate schedules for assigned general ledgers including preparing summary reports to facilitate monthly and statutory reporting.

Educational and Professional Qualifications

• First degree in Accounting or a related discipline
• Minimum of 3 years post-NYSC experience in a similar role
• Possession of a professional accounting qualification (or in view)
• Knowledge of business central or Navision system will be an added advantage

1)  Treasury Accountant (NUN-FIN-001)

The Treasury Accountant will be responsible for:

• Performing treasury-related activities such as bank reconciliations, etc.
• Conducting the verification of transactions and monitoring daily, weekly, and monthly cash balances.
• Liaising with bankers, including investment placements, and investigating charges.
• Maintaining proper records of bookkeeping and providing support on audit reviews.

Educational and Professional Qualifications

• First degree in the management or social sciences.
• Minimum of 3 years post-NYSC experience in a similar role.
• A professional accounting qualification (or in view) will be an added advantage.
