Job Description

• Should take complete responsibility of all furnace and batch house operations
• Close coordination with the team members of own team and other department heads to achieve the end result is a must. Should design a diplomatic feedback mechanism to take the team along
• Responsible for planning and procurement of raw materials required for manufacturing of glass both locally and from other international suppliers
• Should be able to solve day to day problems regarding glass quality and also should have ability to do effective color changes as plant requirement
• Responsible for the effective energy management
• Responsible for the planning and execution of small, minor repairs for maintenance of batch house and furnace in good operating condition for its life
• Should ensure good manufacturing systems in place in terms of checklist, log books, history tracking for effective maintenance management for batch house and furnace operations
• Should establish right (predictive, preventative & breakdown) maintenance practices for all the equipments related to furnace and batch house
• Should focus on safety for personnel and equipment. Should comply with health practices as per the law

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Ceramic Engineering with 20+ years experience in the container glass manufacturing industry.

Profile
Dip/Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 20+ years experience in the maintenance function of a container glass manufacturing industry. Experience in low RPM Diesel Generators would be a additional advantage

• Should set high standards in acieving minimal down time in all the equipments
• Responsible for effective energy management
• Responsible for the planning & execution of small capital projects as and when required
• Should ensure good systems in place in terms of checklists, log books, history tracking ect for effective maintenance management
• Should establish right )predictive, preventative & breakdown) maintenance practices for all equipment
• Should focus on implementing good engineering practices
• Should focus on safety for personnel and equipmentand comply with health practicesas per the law
• Spares management to avoid the breakdown of equipment
