    Junior Associate

    Responsibilities

    The ideal candidate will (but is not limited to):

    • Perform thorough legal research on case law, statutes, and legal principles relevant to ongoing and prospective litigation matters.
    • Prepare court processes including pleadings, motions, affidavits, applications, and written addresses with high accuracy.
    • Attend court proceedings and represent clients effectively, particularly at the High Court level.
    • Participate in client consultations, take instructions, and provide sound legal advice under supervision.
    • Organize and maintain case files, ensuring all documentation is up to date and properly filed.
    •  Handle day-to-day assignments including legal research, drafting of court processes, attending client meetings, and preparing reports.
    •  Represent clients in litigation matters, particularly at the High Court level.
    •  Prepare, review, and file legal documents including pleadings, motions, and legal opinions.
    •  Conduct thorough legal research and remain updated on decisions from superior courts and current legislation.
    •  Attend court proceedings and advocate effectively on behalf of clients.
    • Collaborate with team members and contribute actively to group tasks and strategic case planning.

    Requirement

    • LL.B (Bachelor of Laws) and Certificate of Call to the Nigerian Bar (BL)
    • Must have 2–5 years post-call experience in core litigation.
    • Strong legal drafting, research, and advocacy skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication with strict attention to detail
    • Zero tolerance for typographical and grammatical errors
    • Strong organizational skills and mandatory computer literacy

    Required Competencies:

    • Excellent legal drafting and legal research skills
    • Strong advocacy and litigation skills
    • Superior written and verbal communication skills (zero tolerance for typos and grammatical errors)
    •  In-depth knowledge of current case law and statutory developments
    •  Highly organized, able to meet deadlines, and capable of working independently
    • Team-oriented with good interpersonal skills and a teachable attitude
    •  Demonstrated work ethic, responsibility, and good followership traits
    •  Proficient in the use of computers and legal research tools

    Office Assistant/Janitor

    Responsibilities

    The ideal candidate will (but is not limited to):

    • Ensure the office environment is clean, hygienic, and orderly at all times 
    • Deliver and collect documents, parcels, and office supplies within and outside the office
    • Run official errands, including bank visits, post office drop-offs, or store pickups
    • Support the administrative team with basic tasks such as photocopying, setting up meeting spaces, and document filing
    • Sweep, mop, vacuum, and dust floors, furniture, and equipment
    • Clean restrooms and ensure they are stocked with necessary supplies 
    • Remove waste and dispose of garbage appropriately
    • Maintain cleaning tools and report any equipment faults or supply shortages
    • Follow safety procedures in handling and using cleaning materials 
    • Keep records of deliveries and ensure timely completion of all assigned errands

    Requirement

    • OND or Smart SSCE holder is preferred
    • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in office assiting 
    • Understanding of basic cleaning equipment and chemical safety
    • Physically capable of lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
    • Punctual, trustworthy, and well-organized.

    Required Competencies:

    • Maintains a high standard of cleanliness and notices when something is out of place
    • Completes tasks within scheduled working hours
    • Consistently shows up on time and completes assigned duties without constant supervision
    • Can understand and follow verbal or written instructions and report issues clearly
    • Handles documents and materials with discretion and confidentiality
    • Capable of performing manual tasks such as lifting, walking, and cleaning for extended periods
    • Willing to take on new or unexpected tasks and adjust to changing office needs
    • Maintains a courteous and professional demeanor when dealing with colleagues, clients, and external vendors.

    Senior Associate

    Responsibilities

    The ideal candidate will (but is not limited to):

    • Lead the litigation team in handling complex legal matters at the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court.
    • Draft high-quality appellate briefs, respondent briefs, notices of appeal, and other court documents.
    •  Conduct trials and hearings from inception to conclusion.
    • Provide legal opinions and strategic advice to clients.
    • Manage client relationships and attend to all legal issues arising within the firm’s Abuja office.
    • Supervise and mentor junior associates and legal interns.
    • Coordinate day-to-day legal practice management.
    • Stay up-to-date with decisions from superior courts and evolving legal standards.
    • Ensure proper documentation, file management, and adherence to procedural timelines
    • Attend court sessions and represent clients as needed.
    • Assist the firm in implementing internal legal compliance frameworks and best practices in litigation management.

    Requirements:

    • LL.B. degree and LLM. will be an added advantage.
    • 10–15 years post-call experience in core litigation practice
    • Strong appellate and trial advocacy skills
    • Excellent legal drafting, especially briefs and appeals
    • Proven leadership and supervisory experience
    •  Strong organisational and time management skills
    •  Excellent written and oral communication (zero tolerance for errors)
    •  High computer literacy (Microsoft Office, legal tools)
    •  Integrity, discipline, and fear of God
    •  Up-to-date knowledge of court decisions and legal developments

    Required Competencies:

    •  A strong understanding of Nigerian civil and appellate procedure.
    • Excellent legal drafting skills (briefs, motions, notices of appeal, opinions)
    • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines under pressure
    • Demonstrated leadership and team supervision abilities
    • Ability to manage the litigation operations effectively
