    Station Cashier - Asaba

    Job Purpose

    We are looking for a proactive Station Cashier who will be responsible for receiving customer payments, processing sales transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling daily sales, safeguarding company funds, and providing excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with the company\'s financial policies and operational procedures.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Receive payments for fuel, lubricants, LPG, and convenience store items.
    • Issue receipts for all customer transactions.
    • Ensure accurate cash handling and zero cash shortages.
    • Maintain an adequate cash float throughout the shift.
    • Secure cash and other valuables in accordance with company procedures.
    • Prepare daily cash summaries and reconciliation reports.
    • Deposit daily sales proceeds as directed by management.

    Sales & Transaction Processing

    • Process cash, POS, bank transfer, and other approved payment methods.
    • Verify transaction accuracy before completing sales.
    • Record all transactions promptly and accurately in the Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
    • Report any transaction discrepancies immediately.

    Daily Reconciliation

    • Reconcile cash collections with POS sales and pump meter readings.
    • Balance daily cash, electronic payments, and credit sales.
    • Investigate and report any shortages or overages.
    • Prepare end-of-shift financial reports.

    Documentation & Record Keeping

    • Maintain accurate records of daily sales, deposits, receipts, and cash movements.
    • File all supporting financial documents for audit purposes.
    • Ensure documentation is complete, accurate, and easily retrievable.

    Customer Service

    • Attend to customers professionally and courteously.
    • Respond promptly to customer inquiries regarding payments and receipts.
    • Resolve minor customer complaints or escalate them appropriately.

    Compliance

    • Adhere to company financial policies and internal controls.
    • Ensure strict compliance with cash-handling procedures.
    • Support internal and external audit exercises.
    • Maintain confidentiality of financial information.

    Qualifications

    • OND, HND, or bachelor\'s degree in accounting, Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline.
    • Professional certification is an added advantage.

    Experience

    • Minimum of 1–2 years\' experience in a cashier, finance, or retail operations role.
    • Experience in a petroleum retail station is an added advantage.

    Deputy Station Manager - Asaba

    Job Summary

    We are looking for a proactive Deputy Station Manager who will oversee the daily operations of the station to ensure safe, efficient, and profitable operations. The role is responsible for supervising staff, managing inventory, monitoring sales and cash controls, ensuring regulatory compliance, maintaining high customer service standards, and enforcing Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) requirements. 

    Key Responsibilities

    Operations Management

    • Assist in planning, coordinating, and supervising daily station operations. 
    • Ensure continuous availability of petroleum products, LPG, lubricants, and other products. 
    • Supervise fuel receipt, product discharge, storage, dispensing, and reconciliation. 
    • Ensure smooth opening and closing of daily station operations. 
    • Monitor dispenser functionality and operational efficiency. 
    • Ensure proper shift handovers and operational continuity. 
    • Maintain station cleanliness and housekeeping standards. 

    Sales and Business Development

    • Support the achievement of monthly and annual sales targets. 
    • Monitor daily sales performance and recommend improvement initiatives. 
    • Drive sales of fuels, lubricants, LPG, and non-fuel products. 
    • Support marketing campaigns and customer engagement initiatives. 
    • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance reports. 

    Inventory Management

    • Monitor daily stock levels of petroleum products, lubricants, LPG, and convenience store items. 
    • Conduct daily stock reconciliation. 
    • Verify product receipts and stock transfers. 
    • Investigate stock variances and product losses. 
    • Ensure inventory records are accurate and up to date. 

    Financial Management

    • Supervise daily cash collections and reconciliations. 
    • Verify sales reports and banking records. 
    • Ensure compliance with cash handling and financial control procedures. 
    • Monitor operating expenses and minimize operational losses. 
    • Assist in budget implementation and cost control. 

    Staff Supervision

    • Supervise and coordinate station employees. 
    • Prepare work schedules and shift rosters. 
    • Monitor attendance, punctuality, and discipline. 
    • Conduct on-the-job coaching and mentoring.  
    • Participate in staff performance evaluations. 
    • Ensure employees comply with company policies and procedures. 

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor\'s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Accounting, Logistics, or a related discipline.
    • Professional certification in Operations Management, Health & Safety, or Supply Chain Management is an added advantage.

    Experience

    • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in downstream oil and gas, petroleum retail operations, depot operations, or a related field.
