    Plant Manager

    Main Job Purpose:

    The Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the factory, ensuring that every order is processed and filled when it needs to be, to keep customers satisfied. The job holder will also, be responsible for the efficient and safe manufacturing of quality products in a manner that is consistent with the companies’ policies and procedures.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Provide leadership to all aspect of the manufacturing operations
    • Coordinates the execution of manufacturing schedules based on sales requirements and plant capacity.
    • Ensure continuous improvement in manufacturing processes to ensure efficiencies and eliminate waste and implement such plans through people, processes, procedures and equipment
    • Oversee plant compliance with essential health and safety site procedures and regulations. Compliance with the Health & Safety at Work Act, other applicable regulations, and procedures of the Organization.
    • Ensure the right raw materials are received for production and see to constant improvement in production yield
    • Be responsible for maximizing production output across all departments and manage production in line with quality standards and performance target
    • Ensure all the plant’s machines are up and running
    • Control and minimize labour overtime, freight and repair expenses
    • Meet financial objectives and goals by forecasting requirement and supporting the annual budget process.
    • Review production cost, product quality and modify production and inventory control programs to maintain and enhance the profitable operation of the plant.
    • Reviews all recommendations for special machinery and works closely with engineering manager and team regarding process improvement and new product launches.
    • Ensures plant policies are consistent with organizational policies as well as direct and supervises the application of such policies.
    • Participates in long-range plant expansion, conversion and equipment planning.
    • Oversees the maintenance of the plant buildings, equipment and plant security and protection.
    • Authorized to represent the organization in the community and promote the organization’s goodwill and interests in community activities.
    • Represent the needs of the customer in internal functions in addressing QMS requirement for corrective and preventive actions
    • Develop and maintain technical knowledge and skill of self and team members.
    • Performs other essential functions as assigned.

    Professional Skills:

    • B.Sc./HND in a relevant discipline from an accredited University
    • Relevant Professional Certification

    Experience Required:

    • Up to ten (10) years’ experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment/plant operation
    • Good knowledge of relevant legislation that relates to the operation of a recycling or manufacturing facility
    • A clear understanding of Health & Safety laws and healthy work processes
    • Strong organizational skills and sense of urgency
    • Ownership of, as well as ability to communicate, the strategic direction and objectives of the team to all team members
    • Strong creative, analytical and research skills
    • High level of initiative and good attention to detail
    • Excellent stakeholder management skills
    • Highly developed problem-solving mindset

    Procurement Officer

    Main Job Purpose:

    Assist with the acquisition and purchase of goods and services for the company both locally and from overseas at the right price, right quality and right time.

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Receiving approved requisitions from Stores for action
    • Receives and reviews material requisitions Stores for action
    • Investigate sources of suppliers.
    • Invites quotations and bids, compares and analyze quotations
    • Participate in market survey for local purchase items
    • Preparation of Purchase Requisition.
    • Participate in the award of purchase orders and acceptance thereof
    • Physically visit relevant markets for purchase
    • Follows up on purchase orders to ensure receipt of proper quality and quantity of specified dates.
    • Investigate complaints on orders.
    • Participate in negotiation process.

    • Assist with oversees purchases.
    • Follow up Suppliers payment with Finance department when due.
    • Ensure smooth flow of documents within the organization i.e. Stores, Finance, Admin and other departments.
    • Follow up with Admin to ensure prompt transportation of goods
    • Other purchasing functions assigned by the Management.

    Experience Required:

    • Up to five (5) years’ experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
    • Appreciable knowledge of Industrial Machine Parts
    • Experience in procurement of Industrial Machine Parts
    • Good knowledge of relevant procurement practices

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • Assisting the department in account receivables (AR)
    • Following up with customers for outstanding or overdue payments through the sales team.
    • Receipt deposits from salesmen or collector and issue receipt
    • Monitoring the AR collections
    • Record all cash and credit transactions.
    • Make a report of the status of receivables.
    • Schedule collections according to the ageing receivables
