Job Summary

As the Enterprise Risk Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the enterprise risk management (ERM) framework to identify, assess, mitigate, and monitor risks across the organization. He/she will play a critical role in safeguarding the company's assets,reputation, and sustainability by proactively managing risk exposures and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead the identification and assessment of key risks facing the organization, including financial, operational, strategic, and compliance risks.
• Work closely with business units and functional areas to identify emerging risks and evaluate their potential impact on business objectives.
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative risk assessments to prioritize risks based on their likelihood and potential impact.
• Develop risk heat maps, scenarios analysis, and stress testing models to quantify risk exposures and inform risk mitigation strategies.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and action plans to reduce the likelihood and severity of identified risks.
• Collaborate with business units to implement controls, policies, and procedures to mitigate risks effectively while minimizing disruptions to business operations.
• Establish key risk indicators (KRIs) and risk thresholds to monitor risk levels and trigger timely escalation of significant risks to senior management and the board of directors.
• Implement risk monitoring tools and dashboards to track risk metrics and trends over time.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, industry standards, and best practices related to risk management, and relevant regulatory guidelines issued by regulatory authorities.
• Develop and maintain a crisis management plan to respond effectively to unexpected events, disruptions, or emergencies that pose significant risks to the organization.
• Coordinate crisis response activities and communication plans to minimize the impact on stakeholders and preserve the company's reputation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including senior management, board members, risk committees, and business unit leaders, to provide risk management guidance, support decision-making, and promote a risk-aware culture across the organization.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the ERM framework and risk management processes.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and implement enhancements to strengthen the organization's risk management capabilities and resilience.

Qualifications and skills:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, risk management, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree or professional certification is an advantage.
• Proven experience in enterprise risk management roles within the financial services industry, with a strong understanding of banking or investments
• Deep knowledge of risk management principles, methodologies, and tools, including risk assessment techniques, and scenario analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights to senior management.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Demonstrated leadership and project management capabilities, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive results in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
