    Job Description

    • We are looking to appoint creative and enthusiastic Primary Teachers for September start.

    Job Requirements
    For your application to be successful, you must meet the following criteria:

    • B.Ed / BA / B.Sc / PGDE, gained from a reputable Institution
    • TRCN certification is a MUST
    • Minimum of 3 years post graduation experienceworking in a similar role
    • MUST be resident in Ibadan within reasonablecommuting distance ofJericho, Ibadan
    • Be able to teach a full range of subject areas for this age group

    Pre-school Assistant Educator

    Job Description

    • We are looking to appoint Pre-school Assistant Educators for September start to work cooperatively with the lead Educators in the implementation of daily plans in accordance with the curriculum.
    • To performs activities that ensure the safety, involvement, and creativity of each child in the group.

    Job Responsibilities
    Work with teaching team in all activities, including but not limited to:

    • Maintaining a safe and supportive environment for young children
    • Housekeeping, diapering, handling basic hygiene needs such as hand washing, toilet training, meal service and record keeping
    • Preparing children for and supervising them during naptime
    • Sharing responsibility in the preparation of Daily Plans and the preparation of teaching/learning materials
    • Conducting daily small-group activities for an assigned group of children, sharing responsibility for large-group activities and using appropriate adult/child interactions strategies with all children
    • Assuming responsibility for a classroom at any given time
    • Observing and/or participating in parent-teacher conferences
    • Providing coverage for breaks for other staff members
    • Supervising daily lunch and playground activities, field trips and walks

    Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    Must possess personal attributes needed to develop trusting relationships with children and adults. Such attributes include the following:

    • Essential minimum of 1 year work experience in Early Years
    • Must be resident in Ibadan and live within reasonable commuting distance of Jericho
    • Interactions expressive of genuine warmth and concern for children as well as an understanding of their developmental needs
    • Respect for children’s ideas, feelings, abilities and differences
    • Insights into and tolerance for the range of age appropriate behaviour
    • Ability to assume needed duties and responsibilities without supervision
    • Ability to use discretion in communications with parents in the Teacher‘s absence
    • Ability to move and react quickly and to handle emergencies effectively

    School Administrator

    Job Description

    • We are looking for a trustworthy and personable School Administrator to join our school in September.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain a visible, approachable and welcoming stance for parents and other stakeholders of the school.
    • Adhere to and implement policies, systems, and procedures, and generally ensuring the school operates smoothly and efficiently
    • Liaise with school governors and the wider community in line with school strategies
    • Monitor and supervision of staff tasks and workload for quality assurance and standards
    • Manage pupil life cycle from registration/admission to graduation/leaving
    • Deal with queries and complaints procedures
    • Have responsibility for establishing and maintaining high moral and disciplinary standard
    • Have responsibility for ensuring the health and safety of pupils, staff and visitors to the school
    • Ensure parents’ interest and participation in the school is encouraged and sustained through effective communication, activities and events
    • Take the lead in organising and facilitating a variety of educational or social activities.
    • Prepare academic calendars, newsletters and other publications that would set expectations for pupils, parents and staff
    • Liaise with government agencies, contractors/vendors and prospective parents that may visit the school
    • Generate statutory and non-statutory reports and returns to the Local Authority and government as required, in a timely manner, meeting deadlines
    • Undertaking word processing, IT based tasks and school correspondences
    • Engaging in public relations and marketing activities for the promotion of the school online and in-person
    • Deal with recruitment, on boarding of new school staff, review staff performance and organise trainings in line with the school’s culture of high expectation.

    Job Requirements

    • Must reside in Ibadan and be able to easily commute to Jericho, Ibadan
    • BA / B.Ed in English and a Master’s Degree in Education Administration/Management. A professional certification in Human Resources Management is an added advantage
    • Must have at least five years experience in the educational sector of which must have been in a strategic leadership role, managing personnel of a reputable international school
    • Quality exposure to the British National curriculum is a MUST.
    • Preferably female, with poise, you should be able to demonstrate enthusiasm and a commitment to be part of a great team to serve the school community
    • You MUST have outstanding oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
    • Excellent IT skills – (have an exceptional ability to use Microsoft Office package) for data handling – letters, emails, reports, newsletters etc
    • Have excellent leadership, organizational and management skills
    • Have the ability to work accurately andpay attention to detail
    • The ideal candidate must be disciplined and well-rounded
    • Have thorough knowledge of school policies and procedures
    • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of standard office practices and procedures, equipment, and administrative techniques
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, as well as the ability to remain professional under pressure
    • Understands how to develop positive relationships with colleagues, parents and children as well as being able to improve practice
    • The ideal candidate must be a team player and have an ability to support, motivate and inspire staff and to communicate a clear vision and direction for the school
    • You must have a record of past accomplishments and experience in collaborating with various stakeholders to accomplish school goals
