RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Writing and publishing trending sports stories
• Writing and publishing unique and special format sports stories (features, analysis, history posts, opinions, explainers etc.)
• Monitoring trending sports stories
• Conducting interviews and writing exclusive comment based stories.

‍REQUIREMENTS:

• Degree or Higher Diploma (in journalism/media studies or related field will be an advantage)
• Considerable experience in journalism and sports reporting
• Perfect writing skills; narration and good grammar
• Great editorial judgment and news monitoring skills
• Impeccable communication and interviewing skills: both written and verbal
• Must be able to work independently especially during weekends and can work under pressure
• Must be a self-driven individual with a strong desire to constantly learn, adapt and work under minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitoring trending business stories
• Sourcing ideas for exclusive stories
• Sourcing comments from experts, entrepreneurs
• Writing and publishing business stories that resonate with our audience (including news articles, market overviews, interviews, analysis and feature articles about business)
• Posting your articles to Facebook
• Participating in all activities related to business content direction (including the newsletters, videos, promo and distribution of content).

• Degree or Diploma in journalism/media studies or related field
• Considerable experience in journalism and writing business content

Key Responsibilities:

• Publish imported articles, create Facebook pictures and link posts for them, and share on the platform.
• Republish evergreen articles and create 6-8 picture posts for them to share on Facebook.
• Monitor and republish top posts on Facebook.
• Some other tasks as assigned by management (Whatsapp posting, etc)

‍Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Media or Communications;
• At least 2 year experience in the role of editor or CMS manager;
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
• Impeccable literacy;
• Experience in using social media platforms and CMS (WordPress, others)
• A systematic approach to getting things done;
• Ability to work well under pressure and handle crises effectively;
• Knowledge of the Nigerian media landscape is highly desirable;
• Knowledge of Figma, Canva or some other editing software.
