    Kitchen Technician

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • A Kitchen technician maintains and performs preventative maintenance on all Kitchen equipment. As an Engineering Team Member, you would also be called when needed to multi-task  in other sections.

    What will I be doing?

    As a Kitchen technician, you are to maintain and performs preventative maintenance on all Kitchen equipment. As an Engineering Team Member, you would also be called when needed to multi-task  in other sections.

    •  Perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
    • Perform equipment repairs.
    • Perform visual equipment evaluations.
    •  Enter repairs in Repair Log book.
    • Multi task in other sections when required.

    What are we looking for?
     

    A Laundry technician maintains and performs preventative maintenance on all Laundry equipment. As an Engineering Team Member, you would also be called when needed to multi-task  in other sections.

    • Minimum of HND or BSc. in related Field
    • Electrical trouble shooting, wiring, schematic reading, plumbing, mechanical trouble shooting and repair skills.
    • Ability to maintain Laundry equipment parts inventory.

    Plumber

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • A Plumber is expected to maintain, repair and install plumbing systems, fixtures and equipment to ensure proper and safe operation.
    • As an Engineering Team Member, you would also be called when needed to multi-task  in other sections

    What will I be doing? 

    A Plumber will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

    • Respond to requests throughout the facility to make the necessary repairs to plumbing fixtures in a timely and courteous manner.
    • Maintain, repair and replace water, steam, gas and drain piping within the facility to ensure proper operation and function of piping systems.
    • Maintain, repair and replace plumbing fixtures, valves and steam traps to keep equipment in working order.
    • Maintain fire standpipe, sprinkler systems and fire extinguishers throughout the facility to ensure proper working condition and fire protection in compliance with local regulatory codes.
    • Multitask in other sections when called upon.

    • Any combination of education, training or experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

    • Considerable knowledge of plumbing systems and fixtures in order to resolve problems and make repairs.
    • Skills and Knowledge of piping materials, sizes, measurements etc.
    • Ability to lift and carry materials or equipment up to 80 pounds, work in ceilings, and from ladders or other uneven surfaces.
    • Ability to work in confined spaces, awkward positions, wet, unpleasant and unsanitary conditions as required.
    • Ability to use tools required of the trade such threading machine and basic hand tools.
    • Ability to multitask.

    Head Electrical

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • An Electrical Engineer Head is responsible to maintain, repair and install electrical equipment and systems throughout the facility to ensure safe and proper operation. Supervise, coordinate, train, discipline and motivate subordinates.

    What will I be doing?

    As an Electrical HEAD, you will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

    • Supervise the day-to-day activities of Team leaders (Electrical)
    • Plan, control and follow-up the execution of planned preventive maintenance and break down maintenances and actively participate in the renovation projects.
    • Control & follow-up the execution of contractual maintenance
    • Conduct checks & inspections and visually assess the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of all electrical equipment in the hotel.
    • Assist in training, supervising, and disciplining department staff.
    • Supervise the day-to-day activities of Team leaders (Air Conditioning and Refrigeration)Plan, control and follow-up the execution of planned preventive maintenance and break down maintenances and actively participate in the renovation projects.
    • Control & follow-up the execution of contractual maintenanceConduct checks & inspections and visually assess the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of all air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment in the hotel relating to chillers, air handling unit, fan coil units, ventilation, exhaust systems, freezers, cold rooms, refrigerators, ice machines and bar equipment.
    • Assist in training, supervising, and disciplining department staff.
    • Adhere to all corporate & hotel-required purchasing policies and controls, including but not limited to, all outside contractors' bids, budgets, and schedules.
    • Minimum BSc / HND
    • 5 years' experience as Electrical Supervisor. Positive attitude·

    Duty Engineer

    JOB DESCRIPTION

    • A Duty Engineer will support the Engineering Team to efficiently maintain all hotel operations such that safety, security, conversation, and compliance are ensured at the highest levels.

    What will I be doing?

    • As a Duty Engineer you should be able to Maintain the guestrooms in good repair to ensure an attractive and well-maintained hotel.
    • These assignments relate to a variety of trades that include but are not limited to carpentry, plumbing, electrical, air conditioning, painting, wall covering and masonry. Supervise, coordinate, train, discipline and motivate subordinates.
    • As an Engineering Team Member, you would also be called when needed to multi-task in other sections.
    • Inspect guestrooms, public space and back of house areas to repair, touch up or replace light bulbs, lamps, switches, outlets, faucets, toilets, hardware, filters, paint, furniture, wall covering, caulking, grouting or other miscellaneous repairs.
    • This requires the individual to possess considerable knowledge of a wide variety of maintenance trades in order to visually inspect and detect items needing repair. Basic electrical, plumbing, carpentry and mechanical experience is used frequently on the job.
    • Performing these duties requires, experience in using basic hand and power tools and the ability to stoop, kneel, grasp, lift, push and pull weights up to 30kg.
    • The ability to climb ladders up to 30 feet high and reach in all directions, often time’s overhead is also required. Assign tasks, supervise, train, discipline and coordinate subordinates.
    • Detailed record keeping in English is required for logs and inspection sheets.

    • Ability to push and pull objects or materials weighing up to 40kg
    • Ability to climb stairs and ladders, working at heights up to approximately 30 feet, for extended periods of time, with the ability to reach, often times overhead.
    • Ability to grasp, lift or carry items weighing up to 30kg occasionally waist high
