    Accountant

    Our client is an independent oil servicing company with vast experience which cuts across several facets of the oil and gas industry, together with affiliations with a number of reputable multinational companies. They now have an opening for an Accountant from the Oil and Gas sector to be based in Lagos, Nigeria. The Accountant must be honest and trustworthy with excellent leadership skills; be detail-oriented with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude. We are looking to fill this position immediately.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Make entries for all payments by monitoring and controlling entries done by the Cashier for collections, and all purchases’ entries and postings on the accounting system (Purchase and journal entries).
    • Preparation of various tax reports.
    • Preparation of quarterly and annual financial reports.
    • Corrects errors by posting adjusting journal entries.
    • Costing for foreign purchased/imported items, and reporting them, to better control the payments in due dates, and raise any discrepancies
    • Prepare bank reconciliation reports by issuing, reviewing, and annotating the reports as well as bank incoming transfers and L/C settlements, in order to submit to the Audit department for review and processing action.
    • Reconciles general and subsidiary bank accounts by gathering and balancing information.
    • Maintains accounting controls by following policies and procedures; complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements.
    • Accomplishes accounting and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimum of a B.Sc or HND in Accounting or any related field.
    • Minimum of 3 to 4 years ​of strong experience as an Accountant.
    • ICAN is a must.
    • Thorough knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles.
    • Experience with creating financial statements
    • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process
    • Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
    • Accuracy and attention to detail
    • Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
    • Intermediate understanding of accounting and reporting standards, gaining experience in researching as it relates to accounting issues

    Executive Assistant

An ideal candidate for this role should be well-organized, possessing great planning and time management skills.     Responsibilities

    • Act as the point of contact among executives, employees, clients and other external partners

They now have an opening for a Business Development Manager from the upstream Oil and Gas sector to be based in Lagos, Nigeria and are in need of an experienced and resourceful Business Development Manager to develop and implement growth opportunities in existing and new markets.
