Responsibilities

• Produce drawings using computer assisted drafting systems (CAD) or drafting machines.
• Draft plans and detailed drawings for structures, installations, and construction projects.
• Finish and duplicate drawings and documentation packages, according to required mediums and specifications for reproduction, using blueprinting, photography, or other duplicating methods.
• Review rough sketches, drawings, specifications, and other engineering data received from civil engineers to ensure that they conform to design concepts.
• Supervise and train other technologists, technicians and drafters.
• Supervise or conduct field surveys, inspections or technical investigations to obtain data required to revise construction drawings.
• Determine the order of work and method of presentation, such as orthographic or isometric drawing.
• Calculate excavation tonnage and prepare graphs and fill-hauling diagrams for use in earth-moving operations.
• Explain drawings to production or construction teams and provide adjustments as necessary.
• Locate and identify symbols located on topographical surveys to denote geological and geophysical formations or oil field installations.
• Calculate weights, volumes, and stress factors and their implications for technical aspects of designs.
• Determine quality, cost, strength and quantity of required materials, and enter figures on materials lists.
• Plan, prepare and deliver calculation notes for design and installation.
• Communicate well diagrammatically and in writing.

Job Requirements

• B.Sc Degree / HND qualification in Civil / Structural Engineering
• 3-5 years of work experience
• Good knowledge in BTS/DUT (Steel Construction) software
• Good knowledge in DAO CAO programmes, AutoCAD 2D-3D, INVENTOR V10 and PDMS
• Familiar with 2D, 3D in industrial segment
• Knowledge of Drawing & Selection of structural materials
• Drawing / CAD AUTOCAD drafting ability
• Proficient in use of MS office suits.

• To manage the project team on what is feasible and achievable during before and after project execution
• To manage the individual project life cycle within the defined project governance
• Help project managers and engineers in the arrangement and analysis of projects and scheduling of reports on projects
• Oversee projects as they are being carried out to make sure that the work is done according to outlined specifications, and that they also conform with project timetable
• Convey project needs from the project manager to the management of the firm.
• Assist in the maintenance, development, and enhancement of the company’s relationship with contractors in a bid to produce strategic partnership

• Visits sites to know the status of projects, and collect data

Qualification

• HND/ B.Sc Degree in Civil Engineering, other qualifications may be considered based on attributes and experience.

Requirements:

• Candidate must have good knowledge of the construction industry, project management, good communication skills,
• 3-5 years of experience
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
• Understanding of all facets of the construction process
• Basic Accounting Knowledge
• Experirnce in data-collection and Making Reports.
