    Primary Teaching Assistant

    • This role is ideal for someone passionate about education, child development and creating a safe, engaging and inclusive classroom environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Teaching & Learning Support

    • Support pupils across the curriculum, particularly in literacy and numeracy
    • Assist in planning and preparing learning materials and classroom resources
    • Adapt materials and activities to meet diverse learning needs (including SEND and EAL)

    Classroom & Behaviour Support

    • Promote positive behaviour and support classroom management
    • Ensure a safe, clean and well-organised learning environment
    • Supervise pupils during lessons, breaks and school activities
    • Support pupils’ engagement, motivation and participation

    Assessment & Progress Monitoring

    • Assist with documenting pupil progress and classroom assessments
    • Support marking, recordkeeping and attendance tracking
    • Provide feedback to teachers on pupil performance and development
    • Communicate observations that support pupil learning and wellbeing

    Pastoral & Safeguarding

    • Promote the welfare, safety and wellbeing of all pupils
    • Support attendance and positive behaviour in line with school policies
    • Build positive relationships with pupils and support their emotional development
    • Attend meetings, assemblies and parent engagement sessions when required

    Professional Responsibilities

    • Work collaboratively with teachers and school leadership
    • Participate in staff meetings, training and CPD sessions
    • Uphold school policies, values and safeguarding procedures
    • Contribute to classroom preparation, displays and learning environment setup
    • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality and a positive attitude at all times

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related field
    • Professional teaching qualification (PGDE, TRCN, CACHE, NVQ or equivalent)
    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
    • Strong understanding of primary classroom support and child development
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education

    Primary Class Teacher

    About the Role

    • Broadoaks British School is seeking a dedicated and passionate Primary Class Teacher to join our vibrant teaching team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 (Year 1–Year 6), ensuring that every pupil is supported to reach their full potential academically, socially, and emotionally.
    • This role requires a committed educator who is passionate about child-centred learning, safeguarding, and creating an engaging and inclusive classroom environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Teaching & Learning

    • Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the National Curriculum for England and Wales
    • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, including SEND and EAL students
    • Set high expectations for learning, behaviour, and presentation
    • Use assessment data to track progress and inform teaching
    • Prepare, mark, and provide timely feedback on pupils’ work
    • Create a stimulating and well-organised classroom environment

    Assessment & Reporting

    • Monitor, assess, and record student progress regularly
    • Contribute to formal reporting cycles and assessments
    • Provide constructive feedback to support student development
    • Participate in parent-teacher conferences and progress meetings

    Pastoral & Safeguarding

    • Promote student wellbeing, safety, and positive behaviour at all times
    • Follow safeguarding policies and report concerns appropriately
    • Support attendance, behaviour, and emotional development of pupils
    • Build positive relationships with pupils and parents

    Professional Responsibilities

    • Participate in staff meetings, CPD, and school events
    • Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching and learning
    • Uphold the school’s values, ethos, and behaviour policies
    • Contribute to extracurricular activities and whole-school initiatives
    • Maintain accurate records and professional standards at all times

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Education or related discipline
    • Professional teaching qualification (PGDE, TRCN, CACHE, NVQ or equivalent)
    • Minimum of 3 years teaching experience
    • Strong knowledge of the British Curriculum (advantageous)
    • Excellent classroom management and communication skills
    • Passion for working with primary-aged children
    • Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
