JOB PURPOSE:
To deliver standard software and hardware support services, as well as monitor and maintain a wide range of information sources, to contribute to the effective delivery of IT services.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):
- Carry-out system and equipment maintenance tasks, such as back-up system data and system protection, to ensure they are running effectively and enable easy and efficient use.
- Undertake basic monitoring and troubleshooting of server systems to ensure a consistent delivery of IT services to staff.
- Respond to basic queries about technology and systems to support the correct application of technology.
- Receive and inspect all incoming assets and report discrepancies in IT materials inventory to senior colleagues to ensure materials are effectively tracked. 5. Perform basic beta testing and support the roll out of new versions of centrally supported software to ensure software is operational for WFP staff.
- Ensure information is up to date and accurate within inventories, databases, websites, and archives in order to support senior officers in managing these systems.
- With direction from senior colleagues, collate information to be included in standard material such as training documentation and web content, to contribute to the availability of information about services and products.
- Follow set emergency response processes and procedures as required to provide support in enabling emergency food assistance needs to be met.

JOB PURPOSE:
To implement well-defined standard logistics/supply chain processes and activities to enable effective delivery of goods and services for all delivery modalities.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES(not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):
- Retailer Management: full Participation during the assessment, selection , onboarding, performance monitoring, and compliance of Cash Based Transfers (CBT) Retailers
- Ensure Reconciliation & Payments are completed in timely manner by Certifying invoices, coordinate settlements, and ensure timely payments using WFP system
- Ensure required actions are taken for issue Resolution by addressing retailer complaints and operational challenges effectively
- Provide support to logistics operations and activities, following standard processes and facilitating, directly or indirectly, the effective delivery of food assistance to beneficiaries.
- Support timely ordering and delivery of commodities and supplies to authorized partners and destinations.
- Support management of logistics vendors’ contracting activities including performance monitoring and measurement.

- Contribute to budget preparation, monitoring, and revision for all delivery modalities, ensuring adherence to relevant procedures and in compliance with corporate standards.

- Assist in management of commodity accounting data quality and integrity.
- Support operational pipeline analyses, assessments, and operational planning for all delivery modalities.

JOB PURPOSE
To collect, analyse and report on information to maximise efficiency of the logistics operations and activities.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive, within delegated authority):
- Lead and supervise Cash Based Transfer (CBT) team colleagues, ensuring cohesive teamwork and effective task execution. Plan, oversee, and monitor monthly redemption cycles. Adhere to WFP corporate guidelines and ensure smooth delivery of e-voucher activities.
- Oversee the contractual processes between WFP and retailers to ensure compliance and efficiency. Contribute to structures that enable quick responses to emergencies, ensuring the effective delivery of interventions to beneficiaries.
- Coordinate micro/macro assessments, Retailer Onboarding and Contracting (ROC) intervention setups and implementation, review NFR for every new location transitioned to CBT (e-voucher).
- Contribute towards the development of logistics plans and processes ensuring compliance with wider logistics policies and WFP standards.
- Support logistics projects or operational day-to-day activities following standard processes and contributing, directly or indirectly, to the effective delivery of food assistance to beneficiaries.
- Collect and analyse data through research and networking with colleagues to recommend actions to the supervisor to improve performance of local logistics operations.
- Conduct portions of financial analysis and budget reviews, drawing out insights and recommending actions to the supervisor to optimise use of available funds.
- Guide support staff, acting as a point of referral and supporting them with analysis and queries.
- Collate data and contribute to preparation of accurate and timely reporting, supporting a WFP wide view of logistics activities that enables informed decision making and consistency of information presented to stakeholders.
- Support the capacity building of WFP staff and partners for efficient and effective delivery of food assistance to beneficiaries (i.e. through contribution to the training materials).
- Identify and build productive relationships with logistics colleagues and staff within the area of assignment to support an integrated approach to food assistance.
- Follow emergency logistics preparedness practices to ensure WFP are able to quickly respond and deploy food and needed resources to affected areas at the onset of the crisis.
- Act in an assigned emergency response capacity as required to meet emergency food assistance needs.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Education: Advanced University degree in Transport Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, Business Management or other related field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience and/or training/courses.
Desired experiences for entry into the role:
- A minimum of one year of practical professional (managerial) work experience in the related work area. Additionally, proven years of practical work experience on the field in the related work area.
- Experience coordinating service providers’ contract execution.
- Experience arranging supplier deliveries and the discharge of WFP vessels (rail, air, or sea).
- Experience in evaluating offers and writing proposals.
- Experience in report writing.
Language: Fluency (level C) in English language and the duty station’s language, if different.
