    Insurance Underwriting Executive

    Summary

    • The successful candidate must be a self-motivated team player with expertise in handling technical operations, an aggressive drive to improve client service procedures, and ensure optimal operating efficiency across all functions of the Underwriting and Claims Unit.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepares and evaluates proposals/bids in line with best practices for clients across different industries;
    • General underwriting and preparation of broking/other technical documents for different classes of insurance;
    • Prepares pre and post renewal insurance registers for clients;
    • Communicate value proposition through proposals and presentations;
    • Key Account Management;
    • Ensure all technical operations comply with regulatory requirements and industry standards;

    Claims Processing:

    • Reconciliation of underwriting accounts with various clients and underwriters;
    • Ensuring prompt settlement of claims in the interest of the clients;
    • Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual technical reports;
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, policies, and regulations;
    • Other insurance technical matters and general tasks assigned per time.

    Requirements

    • BA/BSc/HND
    • Associate Member of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (ACIIN)
    • Minimum of 4 years’ working experience in an insurance broking firm
    • Relevant technical knowledge and practical experience of underwriting and claims processes
    • Customer Service Intelligence
    • A self-starter and fast-learner with ability to work under minimum supervision and a multitasker
    • Integrity (Inspire trust and confidence in clients and co-workers)
    • Excellent communication, presentation and reporting skills
    • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others in teams
    • Good use of Microsoft office suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).

    Job Summary

    • The ideal candidate will play a key role in expanding our client base, developing strategic relationships, and facilitating professional training sessions across industries.

    Responsibilities

    • Identify, develop, and manage new business opportunities in both private and public sector organizations;
    • Own and exceed sales targets through proactive business development and relationship management;
    • Prepare and deliver compelling business proposals, presentations, and value-driven solutions to clients;
    • Design and execute business development strategies to promote MOC’s training and consulting services;
    • Facilitate training programs and workshops for client organizations with professionalism and impact;
    • Coordinate and manage training logistics, participant engagement, and post-training evaluations;
    • Maintain a strong pipeline of prospects and track client interactions using reporting tools;
    • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized learning solutions that meet clients’ needs.

    Requirements

    • B.Sc Degree / HND in Human Resources Mgmt., Marketing, or a related field;
    • Proven years of experience in business development, training facilitation, and corporate sales;
    • Demonstrated capability to build strong relationships with clients and close business deals;
    • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills;
    • Proficiency in in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and ability to prepare professional proposals and training materials;
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, target-driven consulting environment;
    • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail;
    • Self-motivated, creative, and goal-driven professional with a passion for learning and people development.
