    HVAC Technician – Copper Installer

    Job Description

    • JMG Limited is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented HVAC Technician – Copper Installer to join our dynamic HVAC Division.
    • The primary focus of this role is the precise installation, fitting, and brazing of copper piping for heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems.
    • The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC piping layouts and ensure that all installations meet JMG’s high standards for quality, safety, and durability.

    Requirements

    • Interpret engineering drawings, isometric diagrams, and specifications to plan the layout of copper piping.
    • Measure, cut, ream, and bend copper pipes to required specifications.
    • Perform high-quality brazing and soldering of copper joints to ensure leak-proof connections.
    • Install copper line sets for Split AC units, VRF/VRV systems, and Chilled Water Systems (where applicable).
    • Assist in the positioning and mounting of indoor units, outdoor condensers, and other HVAC equipment.
    • Install hangers, supports, and clamps for piping systems in accordance with building codes.
    • Insulate copper lines (vapor and liquid lines) post-installation to ensure energy efficiency.

    Qualifications

    • High School Diploma or equivalent.
    • Trade Test certification or Technical Diploma in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning from a recognized technical institute is preferred.
    • 2-3 years of proven experience as an HVAC Technician, specifically handling copper piping installation.
    • Demonstrable experience in brazing (silver brazing) and soldering techniques.
    • Extensive knowledge of copper pipe sizing, types, and fittings.
    • Proficiency in using brazing torches, pipe cutters, swaging tools, and flaring tools.

    Heavy-Duty Mechanic

    Job Description

    • The Heavy Duty Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of the company’s fleet of heavy-duty vehicles and trailers.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts to move, load, unload, and organize materials safely and efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities
    Forklift Operation:

    • Operate forklift equipment to move materials within the warehouse or production area.

    CNC Mechanical Engineer (Laser Machines)

    Job Description

    • The CNC Mechanical Engineer (Laser Machines) will be responsible for the programming, setup, operation, and maintenance of CNC Laser cutting systems. You will play a critical role in manufacturing precision components such as alternator laminations, mounting brackets, control panels, and acoustic enclosures.

    Responsibilities

    • Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for fiber/CO2 laser cutting machines using software such as Cypcut, Fanuc, or Siemens.
    • Interpret engineering drawings andCAD models (AutoCAD, SolidWorks)to develop efficient cutting paths and nesting layouts to maximize material utilization (sheet nesting) and minimize waste.
    • Determine optimal cutting parameters (power, speed, focal position, gas pressure) based on material type and thickness (mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum for enclosures; electrical steel for laminations).
    • Oversee the setup and operation of laser cutting machines to fabricate generator components, ensuring dimensional accuracy and surface finish.
    • Collaborate with the Generator Assembly team to prioritize jobs based on production schedules and Bill of Materials (BOM) requirements.
    • Conduct first-article inspections to ensure cut parts conform to specifications before mass production.
    • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on laser machines, including cleaning optics, calibrating beam alignment, and replacing consumables (nozzles, lenses, protective windows).
    • Troubleshoot quality issues related to dross formation, edge roughness, or dimensional inaccuracies and implement corrective actions.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Diploma in Mechanical/Production Engineering.
    • Minimum of 3+ years of experienceworking withCNC Laser cutting machines(Fiber Laser, CO2 Laser) in a manufacturing environment.
    • Experience in thepower generation, electrical enclosure, or heavy fabrication industryis highly preferred
    • CNC Programming: Hands-on experience with industry-standard controls (Cypcut, Fanuc, Siemens 840D). Knowledge of both 2D cutting and bevel cutting is a plus.
    • Material Knowledge: Understanding of how different materials (CRCA sheets, electrical steel laminations, aluminum) react to laser cutting.
