Responsibilities

• Will be responsible for taking care of the building's general cleanliness and ensuring rooms are tend to
• May be required to check and purchase groceries and household supplies to maintain adequate levels
• Monitor and report necessary domestic repairs and replacements
• Undertaking a range of daily cleaning activities including sweeping, dusting, vacuuming and mopping
• Inspecting residents’ rooms and communal areas to ensure they are tidy and well maintained, including disposing of waste
• Ensuring high standards of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times
• Responding efficiently to urgent requests such as spillages, so that safety is restored in a timely manner

Candidate Requirements

• Proven experience as a housekeeper or within a similar cleaning environment
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and demonstrate initiative and flexibility
• Compassionate and caring nature, with the desire to provide comfort
• Knowledge of health and safety policies and procedures
• Knowledge of cleaning and sanitation products and methods, including cleaning of sensitive materials.

• Cooking and preparing a variety of fresh nutritious meals and other refreshments.
• Preparing varieties of native and continental dishes.
• Ensuring that appropriate levels of hygiene and cleanliness are maintained in the kitchen.
• Taking into account the wishes of clients when planning of menus.
• Making sure good nutritional standards are maintained when preparing meals.
• Responsible for high standards of food, hygiene, and health and safety.
• Purchase and ordering of relevant condiments, vegetable etc.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess a minimum of SSCE / GCE / NECO or OND qualification.
• Minimum of 5 years experience.
• Candidate must come from Rivers, Cross Rivers or Akwa Ibom State of Nigeria.
• Must be skilled in the preparation of both native and continental dishes.
• Proven experience as a cook
• Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods (grilling, baking, boiling etc.)
• Ability to follow all sanitation procedures
• Must be available to work on weekends
• Ability to work in a team
• Very good communication skills
• Excellent physical condition and stamina
