    Health Field Officer II

    Purpose

    • Under the supervision of the Damaturu (DAT) Health Team Leader, the Health Field Officer 2 will be part of the team implementing Health and Nutrition activities within the assigned Area of Responsibility (AoR).
    • S/he will serve as the focal point for nutrition activities while contributing to the broader implementation of Primary Health Care, nutrition, disease surveillance, emergency response, and capacity-building activities.
    • The incumbent will be responsible for the technical supervision and monitoring of the Stabilization Centre (SC) at hospital level ensuring quality management of Severe Acute Malnutrition (SAM) with medical complications in accordance with national and international protocols and standards.
    • The incumbent will oversee the implementation and quality monitoring of Outpatient Therapeutic Programme (OTP) and Targeted Supplementary Feeding Programme (TSFP) services in all ICRC supported PHCCs in Damaturu Sub-Delegation, Maternal Infant and Young Child Nutrition (MIYCN) interventions and support the implementation of community nutrition activities in collaboration with Economic Security team.

    Accountabilities & Functional Responsibilities

    • Maintains dialogue with the hospital coordination units and monitors treatment and care for patients supported by the ICRC
    • Serve as ICRC focal point for the supported hospital for Stabilization Centre service. Conduct regular supportive supervision visits to improve quality of care.
    • Monitor adherence to national and international SAM management protocols.
    • Support mentorship, on the job training and formal capacity building of hospital staff work at the SC.
    • Monitor admissions, outcomes, cure rates, mortality rates and other key indicators.
    • Support forecasting, procurement and management of therapeutic feeds, drugs and medical supplies.
    • Support sustainability planning and coordination with hospital management and health authorities.
    • Support implementation, monitoring and supervision of ICRC-supported health and nutrition activities (i.e OTP, TSFP) services in supported health facilities.
    • Strengthen quality of care in outpatient consultations, maternal and child health services, immunization, family planning and preventive services.
    • Support implementation of community component of SAM in collaboration with Economic Security (Ecosec).
    • Monitor nutrition commodity consumption, storage, reporting and forecasting.
    • Ensure active case finding, screening, referral and defaulter tracing mechanisms are functional.
    • Organize and/or facilitate training sessions, mentorship and supportive supervision activities across supported facilities
    • Monitor and report disease outbreaks and public health emergencies.
    • Support preparedness and response to cholera, measles, diphtheria, meningitis, malnutrition surges and other emergencies.
    • Strengthen collaboration with Nigerian Red Cross Society (NRCS) and humanitarian partners.
    • Promote integration and coordination between Health, Nutrition, EcoSec, Water and Habitat and Protection programmes.
    • Support health facilities in compiling routine health and nutrition reports

    Certifications / Education Required

    • University Degree in Medicine or Nursing or Midwifery
    • Postgraduate Master’s Degree / Diploma in Public Health or Health Management is a strong asset.
    • Fluent English and local working language (Hausa).
    • Valid license to practice
    • Good computer skills-MS word, Excel.
    • Minimum of 3 years professional experience in related field, especially in emergencies
    • You must have a valid working permit to work in Nigeria.

    Supply-Chain Admin / Customer Service Desk Officer I

    Purpose

    • Supply Chain / Customer Service Desk Officer 1 ensures that requests are handled efficiently and effectively to meet needs in the field. S/he also makes information about potential or firm orders available to other logistics staff and those requesting services.

    Accountabilities & Functional Responsibilities

    • Receive, upload & works on and attribute Supply Requests (SR) in JDE ERP and other requests received in Service and task management database (STM).
    • The SC/CSD responsible for its AOR (MIU Branch Plant) and will then ensure that all info relevant to SR should be sent and received through STM and duly filed. This includes correspondence with all stakeholders.
    • Meet with the corresponding purchaser to clarify the sourcing of the items and item codes to be used in the order
    • Ensure the correct item codes are used, if needed, change the codes and inform the customer
      Forwards, when necessary, SR to WHS or other Logistics source and follows up until the arrival of the shipment.
    • Maintain SRs in the staging process until sourcing and lead times are confirmed for all items. This also applies to validated Field Requisition Orders. Timely follow-up is conducted to ensure all staged SRs are fully populated and ready for processing
    • Manages the scheduled pick date, the promised delivery date according to the sourcing (local / regional purchase, WH delivery or upstream supply).
    • Systematically review SRs for accuracy, in communication with the customer, before submitting for approval
    • Establishes and maintains the documentation process for tracking and monitoring for each SR. Updates and closes files
    • Follow up on incoming upstream orders to determine the lead time and date of arrival for better clarity to customers.
    • Manage orders and requests until all lines of an order are fully dispatched and confirmed delivered.
    • Treat orders based on the organization chart flow and treat internal requests as per threshold.
    • SC/CSD to treat all internal Request (IR) and get approvals before forwarding to Purchaser for onward processing
    • Ensures JDE Orders Follow up table has accurate information and acts with other units to maintain the accuracy
    • Reports to logistician daily on any problems that occurred, claims and unusual requests concerning open orders without delay
    • Provide requesters regularly with updated information regarding the status of their orders.
    • Manage orders and requests until all lines of an order are fully dispatched and confirmed delivered.
    • Treat orders based on the organization chart flow and treat internal requests as per threshold.

    Certifications / Education Required

    • University degree or technical degree with equivalent experience in logistics, administration or equivalent.
    • Typically, three to five (3 - 5) years’ overall professional experience.
    • Three (3) years’ previous experience in administration or in a supply chain/logistics department
    • Good command of spoken and written English and the local working language.
    • Computer literacy; good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
    • Knowledge of enterprise resource planning software an asset.
    • Good knowledge of supply chain processes.
