    Head, Technical & Manufacturing (Food & Edible Oil)

    A leading integrated foods company whose primary activity is the creation of superior value from local raw materials to produce and deliver quality brands in the animal feed & edible oils, is looking for a Head, Technical & Manufacturing to join their teams. In-depth knowledge of manufacturing principles, processes, and technologies with experience of running ‘Edible Oil Extraction’ and Feed Mill Production (Poultry, Fish and Dog Food) is VITAL.

    Job responsibilities:

    • Develop and execute manufacturing strategies that align with the company's overall goals and objectives.
    • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the manufacturing department, including production planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
    • Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, productivity, and profitability targets are consistently met or exceeded.
    • Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure that manufactured products meet or exceed customer expectations and industry standards.
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, procurement, and logistics, to ensure seamless coordination and communication throughout the manufacturing
    • Identify areas for process improvement and implement strategies to optimize production workflows, reduce costs, and increase operational efficiency.
    • Manage and develop a high-performing manufacturing team, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management.
    • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and finance, to align manufacturing activities with sales forecasts, demand planning, and budgetary constraints.
    • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, industry standards, and quality management systems, such as ISO certifications.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, technological advancements, and best practices in manufacturing, and actively seek opportunities to leverage new technologies or methodologies to improve manufacturing processes.

    Chief Accountant

    A leading Oilfield Equipment, Structural Steel, Marine Structures Engineering, and Fabrication Company is looking for a Chief Accountant to join their Finance team. The incumberment will be reporting to the Senior Finance Manager. Will be responsible for overseeing the entire accounting cycle, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, financial reporting & compliance.

    The Chief Accountant will lead a team of accounting professionals, play a pivotal role in maintaining financial integrity and supporting strategic decision-making and growth initiatives.

    Job Duties/ Responsibilities

    Financial Reporting & Compliance:

    • Oversee the preparation and submission of accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
    • Provide insights into financial performance and trends to senior management.
    • Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.
    • Partner with other departments (e.g., Operations, HR) to ensure alignment on financial matters.

    Supervision And Team Leadership
     

    • Lead and manage the accounting team, providing guidance, coaching, and mentorship to ensure efficient & accurate financial book keeping entries and ultimately reporting.
    • Manage the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
    • Ensure the team's effective performance and continuous professional development.

    Month-End Closing

    • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
    • Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records and compliance with accounting standards.

    Audit Coordination

    • Coordinate and manage external audits in conjunction with the Senior Finance Manager, ensuring timely and accurate provision of information to auditors.
    • Address audit findings and implement corrective actions.

    Internal Controls

    • Develop, implement, and monitor internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with policies.

    Tax Compliance

    • Oversee tax compliance activities, working closely with tax advisors to ensure accurate and timely submission of tax returns.
    • Stay updated on changes in tax regulations and assess their impact on the company.

    Requirements

    • Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting
    • CPA/ACCA
    • 8 years on the job experience ( 3 years in engineering services)
    • Advanced IFRS knowledge & proficient use of SAGE X3 software
