    Head of Human Resources

    Job Summary

    • The Head of HR will be responsible for developing and executing human resource strategies in support of the overall business direction, with a particular focus on talent acquisition, organizational development, performance management, culture building, and compliance.
    • You will be a strategic partner to leadership and a champion of employee engagement in a high-growth, tech-driven environment.

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive HR strategy aligned with the overall business vision and mission and long-term goals.
    • Act as a trusted advisor to executive management across all subsidiaries on people-related matters.
    • Drive alignment of HR policies, procedures, and culture across the organization while ensuring flexibility where needed.
    • Oversee all core HR functions, including talent acquisition, learning and development, performance management, compensation and benefits, succession planning, and employee relations.
    • Ensure efficient and compliant HR operations across all departments.
    • Lead the standardization and optimization of HR processes across the organization.
    • Shape and champion the company’s culture across all entities, ensuring strong engagement and a high-performance work environment.
    • Establish frameworks for leadership development, employee engagement, and retention initiatives.
    • Guide each business unit in building strong and effective HR teams.
    • Ensure compliance with labor laws, statutory requirements, and internal controls across all jurisdictions where the group operates.
    • Oversee audits, risk assessments, and HR-related investigations.
    • Leverage HR data and metrics to provide insights to the executive management and support data-driven decision-making.
    • Monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of HR strategies and interventions across the group.
    • Oversee disciplinary procedures, conflict resolution, and grievance handling in line with the company’s policy.
    • Provide internal consulting support to new or growing business units, offering guidance on structure, staffing, and HR frameworks.
    • Where applicable, collaborate with external HR consultants or advisory partners to support organizational development initiatives.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
    • Minimum of 11 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role—preferably in fintech or fast-paced financial services.
    • Professional certification (ACIPM, SPHRI, SHRM).
    • Experience working in startups or scaling organizations.
    • Strong knowledge of employment law, employment relations, and industry trends.
    • Demonstrated experience managing HR operations across multiple companies or business units.
    • Strong background in HR strategy, organizational development, and operational excellence.
    • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Tech-savvy with experience using HR tools and platforms (HRIS, ATS, LMS).

    Financial Controller (Fintech)

    Responsibilities
    Strategic Financial Leadership

    • Provide strategic financial input to senior management to support decision-making.
    • Lead long-term financial planning, scenario modeling, and strategic initiatives aligned with company goals.
    • Contribute to the development of financial and operational strategies, KPIs, and performance metrics.
    • Drive business growth through data-driven financial insights and alignment of finance with business strategy.
    • Lead capital raising efforts and maintain strong relationships with investors and funding partners.
    • Prepare investor materials, including pitch decks, financial models, and data rooms.

    Financial Strategy, Planning, Analysis & Control

    • Develop and execute comprehensive financial strategies to drive profitability and scalability.
    • Lead annual and monthly budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance analysis.
    • Prepare accurate cash flow forecasts and manage liquidity to meet operational needs.
    • Conduct investment analysis and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making.
    • Monitor financial goals and track progress against budget and strategic objectives.

    Financial Oversight, Controls & Reporting

    • Oversee the full financial management lifecycle with strong internal controls and accounting procedures.
    • Review and analyze financial scorecards and performance reports monthly, explaining variances and recommending actions.
    • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports).
    • Implement financial systems (e.g., ERP, budgeting tools) to improve reporting and operational efficiency.
    • Oversee expense management, receivables/payables, daily bank postings, reconciliations, and resolution of open items.
    • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to integrate financial considerations into product features.

    Risk Management, Regulatory & Tax Compliance

    • Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities, proposing mitigation strategies.
    • Ensure full transparency and timely communication of potential financial risks.
    • Guarantee compliance with statutory regulations (e.g., CBN, FIRS), international financial standards, and licensing requirements.
    • Oversee tax filings, statutory reporting, and interface with auditors and regulators.

    Treasury & Cash Management

    • Manage cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure financial stability and operational effectiveness.
    • Optimize bank relationships and cross-border payment flows.
    • Develop and maintain cash flow projections and investment strategies aligned with liquidity needs.
    • Oversee daily treasury operations, including deposit management and reconciliation processes.

    Cross-Business Financial Leadership

    • Act as finance lead across multiple business units or subsidiaries, providing financial insights and support.
    • Collaborate with business leaders to align financial planning with operational strategies.
    • Lead and scale the finance team, ensuring capacity building through coaching and continuous training.

    Stakeholder Engagement & Investor Relations

    • Foster relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, auditors, and funding partners.
    • Lead investor communications, manage investor data rooms, and support due diligence processes.
    • Represent finance in board and executive-level meetings, ensuring alignment on strategic priorities.

    Requirements

    • ⁠8+ years of experience in financial management.
    • Chartered accountant, with a minimum of 2 years as an FC.
    • Experience in managing end-to-end financial reporting and strategy.
    • Strong analytical and leadership skills.
    • ⁠Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
    • Experience with ERP systems.
    • ⁠Knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and financial regulations.
    • Big 4 experience is an added advantage.
    • Experience in capital market fund raising and debt financing is a plus.

    Finance Officer (Graduate Trainee)

    Job Summary

    • Responsible for administering all aspects of the accounting function including payroll processing for transmittal to the payroll service, financial reporting and month end close.

    Responsibilities
    General:

    • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and year end closing activities.
    • Provide inputs on weekly, monthly, and quarterly management reports to senior management.
    • Prepare a monthly reconciliation of all payments received on billing using the Billing reconciliation template.
    • Prepare required journal entries after each inflow on contract for the purpose of recording deductions from Invoice in line with payment received.
    • Submit monthly schedule of Trade and Other receivables aging analysis for the purpose of ensuring that all receivables are duly recovered.
    • Assists in financial analysis of various business initiatives and performance (debtors and creditors schedule, fixed assets schedule).
    • Prepares monthly closing accounts including GL journal entries.
    • Provide input on monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.

    Health and Safety:

    • Ensure compliance with all health, safety and security regulations and policies.
    • Liaise with HSE department on any health, safety, or security problem which you cannot resolve.
    • Comply with health and safety procedures and instructions.
    • Any other tasks assigned by the manager.

    Requirements

    • A good University degree in Accounting or Finance.
    • Have 0 - 2 years’ experience in a Finance function.
    • A registered member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants is an added advantage.
    • Understanding of moderately complex accounting concepts, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), and IFRS.
    • Computer applications (MS Office).
