Description

As the Head of Growth - POS forthe PayForce business unit, you will play a critical role in managing and growing key metrics like Gross Profit, Revenue, Transactions, etc. You will be working with the offline channel team and digital marketing team to design customer acquisition strategy, as well as work with the CRM team for lifecycle management of existing customers via various channels. Finally, you will work closely with the Product Team to ensure the optimization of the user funnels and zero in on new product features enabling holistic and long-term growth of the business.

Role Summary

• Continuously analyzing data to identify new business and improvement opportunities for customer acquisition and retention to drive revenue and profit of the business.
• Identify opportunities to increase customer lifetime value by enhancing customer journey by launching new products, improving customer interaction, and NPS of the app.
• Create business scenarios, and growth strategies, and present them to various stakeholders.
• Ensure speedy and successful delivery of business initiatives.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in business analysis/growth strategies or a related field.
• Exceptional analytical and conceptual thinking skills.
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Google Sheets, and data visualization tools e.g. Tableau, Google Analytics, and PowerBI.
• Experience with setting the product's metric structure, prioritizing metrics, and effectively monitoring metrics.
• A passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to change.
• The ability to work on multiple projects within your project time frames.
• Strong Communication Skills and ability to influence stakeholders and work closely with them to determine acceptable solutions and deployment.
• Excellent documentation skills.
• Extensive experience working with performance marketing teams, liaising with third parties (PPC, SEO, etc.), CRM, and TeleSales.

Nice to have:

• Experience in scripting with SQL, extracting large sets of data, synthesizing data, and developing meaningful conclusions.
• A good understanding of the information technology/product development cycle
• Hands-on Performance Marketing experience.
• Experience in Financial Services or FinTech.

Role Overview: 

As a Senior Product Manager for the lending division, you will be a key driver in shaping the strategy and roadmap for our lending products. You will be responsible for developing and executing a product vision that aligns with our company's goals and customer needs. This role requires a deep understanding of lending practices, fintech industry trends, and the unique challenges and opportunities present in the African market.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy and Vision:

1. Develop a clear and compelling product strategy for the lending division that supports Fairmoney's overall business objectives and aligns with the company's mission.
2. Identify and prioritise market opportunities, ensuring that our lending products remain competitive and relevant in the rapidly evolving fintech landscape.

Product Roadmap Management:

1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Engineering, Growth, Design, Data Science, Risk and Operations, to create a comprehensive and achievable product roadmap.
2. Regularly review and refine the roadmap to adapt to market dynamics, customer feedback, and business priorities.
3. Have the ability to brutally prioritise based on identified and agreed on goals

Customer Insights and Analysis:

1. Conduct thorough market research and customer analysis to gain valuable insights into customer behaviour, pain points, and preferences related to lending products.
2. Utilise data-driven insights to make informed product decisions, enhance user experiences, and drive customer satisfaction.

Product Development and Launch:

1. Oversee the end-to-end product development process, from concept to launch, ensuring that the lending products meet high standards of quality and compliance.
2. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver products within agreed timelines and budgets.

Risk Management and Compliance:

1. Work closely with Risk and Compliance teams to ensure that lending products adhere to all relevant regulations and industry standards.
2. Implement robust risk management strategies to safeguard the interests of our customers and the company.

Performance Tracking and Optimisation:

1. Define and monitor key performance metrics to evaluate the success of lending products.
2. Continuously optimise product performance and user experience based on data-driven insights and customer feedback.

Team Leadership and Development:

1. Lead and mentor other product managers and other relevant team members to foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
2. Set clear objectives, provide regular feedback, and support the professional growth of team members.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Product Manager in the lending industry, preferably within the fintech sector.
• In-depth knowledge of lending products and services, including consumer and small business lending, credit scoring models, and risk assessment.
• Demonstrated experience in developing and launching successful fintech products.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Familiarity with the Nigerian and African fintech markets and an understanding of local customer preferences and behaviors is a bonus but not essential
• Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience in managing and motivating high-performing product teams.
• Creative problem solver mindset with a data-driven and KPI-oriented approach using such tools as SQL, Python and Excel
