    Head of Business

    Duties / Responsibilities
    Strategy Formulation & Execution

    • He/ She will be responsible for formulating the Strategy of the Firm aligned with the Group Strategic direction, and full strategy execution consistent with the strategy implementation plan.
    • He/ She will ensure that all Unit Heads follow the Planning Framework in coming up with Sub-Plans & BIP that are also aligned with the company's Strategy.
    • The HOB will coordinate the Unit Heads in ensuring 100% alignment of their daily activities to the BIP (strategy execution).
    • The HOB will be responsible for the financial health of the business and thus responsible for driving the organization towards the achievement of the goals set in the Financial Control Levers by championing the development of policies and strategies for effective financial management, ensuring transparency and accountability and judicious use of resources.

    Leadership:

    • The HOB will be responsible for coordinating the daily activities of the business and provide leadership to direct reports and entire staff.
    • He/ She must be an embodiment of the 6 Core Values of the Company and a Champion and diligent Observer of all the Operational Guidelines.
    • He/ She will be responsible for the proper functioning of the governance framework of the company (executive management, senior management, and general management) and a seamless of succession planning for mission critical positions for a smooth running of the business.
    • He/ She is also responsible for the development of relevant structures (People, process and systems) to support the achievement of the company's vision and goals.
    • He/ she will be responsible for interacting with external auditors on matters related to audits of the organization’s internal controls

    Others:

    • The HOB will be responsible for driving corporate culture through shared vision and team building activities. Thus, motivating staff to accomplish business goals and objectives of the company.
    • The HOB will be responsible for ensuring that all processes and guidelines of the company are religiously adhered to and also responsible for continuously seeking out ways and means of improving on all the processes and guidelines related to all the Units of the Company at all times through process improvement plans he will be expected to prepare and execute yearly.
    • The HOB will be responsible for expanding the company’s footprint, oversee the formulation and implementation of effective Go to market strategies to achieve sustainable growth in customer base, market share, Efficiency of marketplace (based on Farmers Connection, Vendors Management and Efficient service delivery) Sales and profit.
    • He/ She will perform other tasks as assigned by the Group Managing Director & Board of Directors
    • He/ She will ensure performance management in the company is done as and when due.
    • The HOB will ensure proper and accurate reporting is done to the Board, Group Office, and other stakeholders.
    • He/ She will be responsible for the Saro Brand management in the company.

    Education and Experience

    • 2nd Class Upper from a relevant course of study, MBA will be an Advantage
    • A minimum of 10 Years at Business Management Level
    • Experience in Digital marketplace will be an advantage
    • Goods knowledge and use of Microsoft Office packages & ERP systems (Knowledge of Navision & SharePoint will be an added advantage).
    • Age Requirement: 32-45 years

    Marketing Manager

    Duties / Responsibilities
    Strategy Formulation & Execution:

    • The MM will formulate the Marketing Strategy and its flawless execution in achieving the corporate objective in respect to Customer Recruitment, Connection, Growth and Retention Strategy.
    • He/ She will lead the crop Execs in ensuring that crop plan is aligned to the Marketing Strategy and the 4Ps are in line with the broad Strategy.

    Leadership:

    • The MM will ensure the efficient running of the Marketing team and coordination of their daily activities. He will work cross functionally with the Market Place Manager and the Commercial Agents in the delivery of value to the Customers.
    • The MM will build capacity by mentoring the team under his or her leadership by enshrining the operation of the Marketing Manual and compliance to marketing communications.

    Driver of Corporate Culture:

    • The MM will be responsible for driving corporate culture through shared vision and team building activities. Thus motivating her team to accomplish business goals and objectives of the department.

    Portfolio Management:

    • The MM will be at the heart of the portfolio selection, development, and placement objectives across the different channels to deliver most impact for the different categories of farmers.
    • The MM identifies opportunity gap at the farmers level and leverage the technical team / vendors to bridge the gap.
    • He/ She will be responsible for New Products developments funnel to drive portfolio evolution that constantly delights the customer with a new story via in house and collaborative development.

    Others:

    • The MM will be responsible for driving the customer growth/ subscription on the digital App via a clear promotional plan, go to market Strategy and Pricing.

    Education and Experience

    • 2nd Class Upper from a relevant course of study, MBA will be an Advantage
    • A minimum of 7 Years in Brand Management or As Marketing Manager
    • Experience in Digital Market place will be an advantage
    • Goods knowledge and use of Microsoft Office packages & ERP systems (Knowledge of Navision& SharePoint will be an added advantage).
    • Age Requirement: 32 - 45 years.

    Market Place Manager

    Duties / Responsibilities
    Market Place Development and Efficient Running:

    • The MPM will conceptualize the Market place design, interaction within the Ecosystem and the different processes that guides its operation.
    • He/ She will work with the IT in creating the right marketplace that is user friendly and delivers on the marketplace objective

    Vendor Management:

    • The MPM will sign and Onboard Vendors on the marketplace, draws up and ensure execution of SLA's that delivers value to the Audience.
    • He/ She will organize periodic review of vendors to track performance, dismissal, commission, and general performance in line with the agreed KPIs

    Driver of Corporate Culture:

    • The MM will be responsible for driving corporate culture through shared vision and team building activities. Thus, motivating her team to accomplish business goals and objectives of the department

    Channel and Ecosystem Interaction:

    • The day to day running of the marketplace, Products displays, Pricing, Assortment, Response time to request and delivery of services in line with the SLA.
    • The MPM tracks sentiments around price, service quality, delivery and customer satisfaction in further sharpening our value proposition to the customers.
    • He/ She works cross functionally with the Marketing Manager and the Saro Digital Lead in ensuring competitiveness of offering and delivery to the customers

    Growth Champion:

    • The MPM will market the markets place to TA's to drive onboarding, recruitment and growth of customer share of business on the market place.
    • He/ She will design and implement promotional campaign aimed at recruitment, retention and grow customers interaction on the Market place.

    Others:

    • The MPM will perform other tasks as assigned by the Group Marketing Execs & SAI MD and SAI Board
    • He/ She will ensure Performance management in the department is done as and when due.
    • He/ She will be responsible for the Saro Brand management in the public Space
    • The MPM will be responsible for managing the day to day running of her agents and the marketplace

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree
    • A minimum of 10 Years at Business Management Level
    • 2nd Class Upper from a relevant course of study, MBA will be an Advantage
    • Experience in Digital Market place will be an advantage
    • Goods knowledge and use of Microsoft Office packages & ERP systems (Knowledge of Navision& SharePoint will be an added advantage).
    • Age Requirement: 32-45 years

    Regional Digital Lead

    Duties / Responsibilities
    Route to Market:

    • The RDL will develop the Road to Market as dictated by the Marketing Strategy that is efficient and built to deliver value to the target audience and Capture value in an efficient manner.
    • The RDL will break down the targets per region based on the opportunity to achieve the set objective

    Leadership and Team Coordination:

    • The RDL will be responsible for setting call targets and call objectives for the Saro Digital Agents and their day-to-day coordination and daily review.
    • The RDL will be in direct contact with Subscribers and Clusters Leaders for engagement and timely resolution of issues.
    • The RDL Set goals for the Agents (Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and yearly Goals)

    Channels Management:

    • The RDL will ensure that all platforms are working seamlessly and deliver the right experience to the farmers.
    • He/she will be responsible for farmers' KYC and Categorization post-on-boarding.
    • He/ She will be responsible for the consistency of value proposition and delivery across the different channels to be uniform across the different channels.
    • The RDL will work in Sync with the Market Place manager on Input Purchase, delivery, Output pick up and general price management in driving competitiveness

    Others:

    • The RDL will drive compliance in terms of customer onboarding, trading terms, credit compliance, input usage compliance and pricing compliance by having a risk framework in place to manage risk from credits to farm management that will ensure value is not lost
    • The RDL will be responsible for driving the customer growth/ subscription on the digital App by growing the share of customer business done on the App, Geographical expansion, and growth in the Customer base in line with the business objective
    • He/ She will perform other tasks as assigned by the Group Marketing Execs & SAI MD and SAI Board
    • He/ She will ensure Performance management in the department is done as and when due.
    • The RDL will be responsible for the Saro Brand management in the company
    • He/ She will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of the department.

    Education and Experience

    • Degree (2nd Class Upper) from a relevant course of study, MBA will be an Advantage
    • A minimum of 5 years in Sales Leadership or Trade Marketing Position
    • Experience in the Digital Market place will be an advantage
    • Good knowledge and use of Microsoft Office packages & ERP systems (Knowledge of Navision& SharePoint will be an added advantage).
    • Age Requirement: 32 - 45 years.
