    Head, Corporate & Commercial Banking

    Responsibilities

    • Develop and implement comprehensive commercial strategies and tactical business plans, considering market opportunities, growth potential, competitor activities, existing capabilities, and the bank's risk appetite.
    • Identify target markets and customer segments, defining tailored propositions to meet their specific needs.
    • Devise and agree on product offerings and sales mixes that align with the bank's strategic goals.
    • Define and foster a service-based sales culture within the unit to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for business customer inquiries, collaborating with internal partners to support various banking functions such as cash management, credit, treasury, and transaction support.
    • Proactively source opportunities with prospective businesses in the community, building and maintaining strong relationships to drive growth.
    • Oversee transactional activities, including account monitoring and credit analysis, to ensure compliance with risk and fraud management policies.
    • Provide sound advice and guidance to businesses on financial strategies, including optimizing cash functions and leveraging opportunities to improve returns on capital.

    Experience and Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
    • A postgraduate qualification or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
    • A minimum of 6-8 years of experience in banking, with a focus on commercial and corporate banking.
    • Demonstrated experience in strategic management, business development, and profitability management within a banking context.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of financial analysis, credit risk assessment, and banking regulations. · Proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.

    Head, Dedicated Banking

    Description

    • The Head Dedicated Banking is responsible for leading and managing the Dedicated Banking unit within the Retail and SME Banking group.
    • This role involves developing and implementing strategies to drive product sales, enhance customer relationships, and achieve growth in both volume and value of accounts, aligning with the bank's objectives.

    Key Roles and Responsibilities

    • Develop and execute strategic plans to promote the bank's products and services, ensuring alignment with the overall goals of the Retail and SME Banking division.
    • Act as a trusted advisor on financial matters, addressing client inquiries effectively and resolving complaints promptly to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
    • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with clients, business heads, and internal stakeholders to drive product sales and customer acquisition within targeted markets.
    • Oversee the promotion, cross-selling, and upselling of the bank's products to maximize revenue generation. · Implement marketing strategies and programs designed to boost profitability and achieve set deposit targets by securing business and investment deals from individuals and corporate entities.
    • Ensure the creation of quality risk assets to meet established targets, including packaging customer credit requests in line with the bank's credit policies and procedures.
    • Monitor customer compliance with credit agreements and ensure adherence to Know Your Customer (KYC) requirements.
    • Lead and manage the Dedicated Banking team, including planning marketing calls, monitoring performance against plans, and fostering a culture of high-quality client service and customer retention.

    Experience and Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline from a recognized university.
    • A postgraduate qualification or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
    • A minimum of 8 years of banking experience in sales and credit, with at least 5 years in a senior role within operations management.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of basic accounting and financial analysis, business law, business/financial advisory services, banking operations, leasing, trade services, and relevant banking laws and regulations.
    • Proficiency in credit risk assessment and analysis, relationship management, networking, business writing, and presentation skills.
    • A solid understanding of economic trends and their implications for the banking and finance sector.

    Required Skills and Competencies:

    • Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
    • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal abilities.
    • Proficiency in computer programs, including MS Word and Excel.
    • In-depth understanding of business processes.
