Job Description

• We are looking for an experienced MySQL database administrator who will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of clusters of MySQL instances.
• You will also be responsible for orchestrating upgrades, backups, and provisioning of database instances.
• You will also work in tandem with the other teams, preparing documentations and specifications as required.

Responsibilities

• Provision MySQL instances, both in clustered and non-clustered configurations
• Ensure performance, security, and availability of databases
• Prepare documentations and specifications
• Handle common database procedures, such as upgrade, backup, recovery, migration, etc.
• Profile server resource usage, optimize and tweak as necessary
• Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders

Qualifications

• B.Sc / HND in any discipline
• 2 - 4 years Experience.

Skills:

• Experience with replication configuration in MySQL
• Strong proficiency in MySQL database management
• Decent experience with recent versions of MySQL
• Understanding of MySQL’s underlying storage engines, such as InnoDB and MyISAM
• Knowledge of de-facto standards and best practices in MySQL
• Proficient in writing and optimizing SQL statements
• Knowledge of MySQL features, such as its event scheduler
• Ability to plan resource requirements from high-level specifications
• Familiarity with other SQL/NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.
• Knowledge of limitations in MySQL and their workarounds in contrast to other popular relational databases
• Proficient understanding of code versioning tools such as Git / Mercurial / SVN and AzureDevOps.

• Provision of first level helpdesk support for product offerings
• Receive, document, and resolve clients/subscribers' complaints.
• Escalate clients/subscribers' complaints as applicable to support or help desk.
• Telephone and e-mail marketing of product features and enhancements to clients/subscribers.
• Maintain appropriate logs of operational activities.
• Professional management of Incoming and Outgoing correspondence via telephone & Post mail
• Professional reception & attendance to guests & visitors.
• Collate and provide a report to the appropriate unit
• Managing and maintaining good client relationships in ensuring a healthy customer experience, ensuring escalated customers’ complaints, issues or challenges are amicably resolved.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree qualification.
• 1 - 2 years Experience.

Network & Infrastructure Administrator - will be responsible for maintaining computer networks and solving any problems that may occur with them

Typical responsibilities of the job include:

• Installing and configuring computer networks and systems (servers and workstations)
• Identifying and solving any problems that arise with enterprise networks and systems (servers and workstations
• Consulting with clients to specify system requirements and design solutions
• Budgeting for equipment and assembly costs
• assembling new systems
• Maintaining existing software and hardware and upgrading any that have become obsolete
• Monitoring enterprise networks and systems(servers and workstations) to identify how performance can be improved
• Working with IT support personnel
• Providing network administration and support
