    Complaints Response Mechanism (CRM) Assistant

    Overall responsibilities

    The Complaints Response Mechanism (CRM) Assistant will provide support to COOPI food security and livelihoods interventions assisting IDPs in NE Nigeria. The CRM Assistant will work on the management of the beneficiary and stakeholders’ complaints and feedback mechanisms. S/he will ensure that mechanisms are in place to strengthen the quality and accountability of emergency response in regards to information sharing, beneficiaries’ participation, complaints and response

    Main Responsibilities and Tasks

    Under the direct supervision of the CBT Manager/Deputy Project Manager, and in collaboration with the Field Coordinator, and other collaborators of the projects and of the Base, he/she will: 

    • Ensure operationalization of established feedback/accountability mechanism.
    • Prepare reports on the cases registered through the CRM system.
    • Timely feedback to WFP and Project Management team in the field on complaints and concerns raised by communities on project activities.
    • Maintenance of an effective record and filing system for all complaints solved and pending issues including correspondences and other related documents for quick and easy reference.
    • Communicate and disseminate complaints handling procedures, policies and tools as appropriate to beneficiaries, project staff and other stakeholders.
    • Analyze data and submit internal and accurate reports to the concerned programs/projects on weekly basis. 
    • Conduct regular spot-checks of beneficiary awareness on the CRM procedures
    • Follow-up on status progress of referred cases.
    • Liaise with local authorities and community leaders to support the resolution of complaints.
    • Regularly communicate with beneficiaries to provide feedback to their complaints, including distributing replacements for lost or faulty cards.
    • Treat beneficiaries with dignity and apply COOPI’s Code of Ethics and Conduct, the UN Convention for the Elimination of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) and the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC) in the field, including sensitizing Field Monitors, vendors and agents on such principles.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Degree/Diploma in Social Sciences
    • Previous experience working in humanitarian projects
    • Proven interest & commitment to humanitarian and development principles and a demonstrable understanding of conflict/post conflict development contexts.

    • 1-2 years CRM related work experience with an INGO
    • Experience in data collection, collation, analysis, and report writing
    • Fluency in English

    Overall responsibilities

    The BSFP (Blanket Supplementary Feeding Program) Distribution Assistant will be part of the team carrying out the implementation of WFP funded BSFP interventions in Yobe state (Bade, Damaturu, Jakusko and Geidam) focusing on IDPs and vulnerable host communities. They will ensure distribution and comprehensive mobilisation of the community for nutrition screening of children under five and beneficiary training on IYCF.
    Main Responsibilities and Tasks

    • Under the direct supervision of the BSFP Officer and in collaboration with the Project Manager and other collaborators of the projects and of the Base, he/she will:
    • Conduct sensitizations, providing key messages related to the programme objectives, organization of distributions, the use of the products and other messages related to IYCF
    • Screening of the nutritional status of children under five in their designated locations and refer SAM cases to health/CMAM centres
    • Supervising the Community Mobilisers and volunteers
    • Distribution of supplementary food to children under 5 years and PLW (pregnant and lactating women).
    • Collect and track weekly data at community level, including the results of MUAC screening during house-to-house visits
    • Provide training on nutrition (IYCF) and hygiene practices
    • Follow referrals of all severely malnourished children to the stabilization center
    • Report any problems in a timely manner to the BSFP Officers or the Monitoring & Evaluation Officer
    • Participate in the field work of the nutrition survey (impact assessment)

    Overall responsibilities

    The Nutrition Assistant will be responsible for planning and implementation of nutrition activities in COOPI’s food security and nutrition operation area in Yobe focusing on IDPs and vulnerable host communities. They will ensure comprehensive mobilisation of the community for nutrition screening of children under five, forming and monitoring care support groups and IYCF training. 
    Main Responsibilities and Tasks

    Under the direct supervision of the Nutrition Officer and in collaboration with the Project Managers, Field Coordinators, and other collaborators of the projects and of the Base, they will:

    • Perform screening of the nutritional status of children under five in their designated locations and refer SAM cases to health/CMAM centres
    • Coordinate and collaborate with community mobilisers’ team leaders and lead mothers of care groups in implementing follow-up of referred SAM cases
    • Follow up with the new admission of malnourished children
    • Ensure liaison with existing community structures, (groups and individuals, women groups, religious leaders where possible.
    • Collect and track weekly data at community level, including the results of MUAC screening during house-to-house visits, in accordance with COOPI standard nutrition statistical reporting forms
    • Submit weekly nutrition and health report to the Nutrition Officer for onward sharing with the Monitoring & Evaluation Officer
    • Carry out the day-to-day Nutrition activities
    • Provide training on nutrition (IYCF) and hygiene practices
    • Follow referrals of all severely malnourished children to the stabilization center
    • Keep defaulter tracing for malnourished children
    • Report any problems in a timely manner to the Nutrition Officer or the Monitoring & Evaluation Officer
    • Participate in the field work of the nutrition survey (impact assessment)

    Overall responsibilities

    The Storekeeper will be responsible for the management of the stores and for the management of commodity movements of WFP funded BSFP in Yobe state (Bade, Geidam and Jakusko). They will ensure adequacy of the warehouses and the stores, proper commodity handling and tracking.

    Main Responsibilities and Tasks

    • Under the direct supervision of the Nutrition Officer and in collaboration with the Deputy Project Manager, the Project Manager and other collaborators of the projects and of the Base, they will:
    • Be in charge of the warehouses and the stores, by ensuring that they are clean and safe.
    • Report any issue to the Nutrition Officer for follow up, including need for maintenance, cleaning, items (pallets, padlocks and so on).
    • Be responsible for the security of the store, by liaising regularly with the security company hired for this: provide constant monitoring of their activities, ensure that they maintain their presence and they do not conduct any irregularities.
    • Always ensure the food safety of commodities by monitoring the expiry dates and the status of the packages.
    • Receive the commodities from WFP, count them and ensure that all the details in the waybill correspond to what is actually received. Fill in the waybills and sign them.
    • Liaise with the distribution teams to ensure that the commodities are dispatched on time for the distributions, liaise with the transporter company in cooperation with the Logistics Assistant in the Base to mobilise them for the dispatched.
    • Always keep track of the commodities by counting them and by issuing waybills whenever there is a commodity movement.
    • Prepare daily stock reports to ensure that commodities are not lost.
    • Cooperate with the BSFP Officer for regular reconciliation of commodities and for the preparation of accurate and reconciled monthly distribution reports.
    • Report any loss immediately to the Nutrition Officer and the Deputy Project Manager to ensure timely action.

    • Keen attention to detail and ability to effectively manage time
