    Sea and Air Shipping Officer M/F

    SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for Sea and Air Shipping Officer to join its work force in Nigeria.

    The suitable candidate shall:

    • Open & Close shipment (Sea & Air freight) hardcopy files.
    • Apply for Sea & Air freight Import SONCAP Certificates & follow up.
    • Apply for Sea & Air freight Import PAAR & follow up with Bank
    • Communicates PAARs & other Shipping documents to LCAs.
    • Reconciles & responds to Customs DNs & other queries.
    • Follow up with LCAs on PAAR utilization.
    • Updates PAAR progress on the W-Drive
    • Prepares weekly PAAR application status & monthly PAAR utilization reports.
    • Updates Transit E-archive.
    • Any other activity or Service function assigned to me by the Manager of the Department.
    • Degree in Social Science or Engineering course
    • Computer literate: Use of Microsoft applications and database management software
    • Knowledge of SAP is an added advantage.
    • Interfaces with contractors and should be capable of speaking and writing good English.

    Support & Documentation Officer M/F

    Job description

    SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for Support and Documentation Officer Onne to join its work force in Nigeria. The suitable candidate shall:

    • Liaise with public institutions to secure NAFDAC permits and approvals for import.
    • Relate with users to advise availability of relevant import permits and process permit requests.
    • Follow up of freight forwarding and local clearing agents’ invoices.
      Pre-vet freight forwarding and local clearing agents’ invoices before submission to Finance and Accounts department.
    • Process freight forwarding agents and local clearing agents’ invoices on web cycle invoice processing tool.
    • Participate in service quality meetings with foreign freight forwarding agents and local clearing agents.
    • Participate in meetings with local clearing agents on issues and policies impacting on Transit operations.

    • Prepare sea / air freight and clearing cost estimates when requested by buyers to facilitate decision making in the purchasing process.

    • Prepare quarterly and yearly total freight cost report.

    Profile

    Shipping Officer M/F

    Job description

    SPIE Services Nigeria Limited is currently looking for Shipping Officer to join its work force in Nigeria. Responsibilities shall include:

    • Attend to all Import shipping documentation (Air & Sea) activities.
    • Global import logistics cargo planning and liaison {Air & Sea} with foreign suppliers/manufacturers/forwarders at origin to delivery in Company approved facilities in Nigeria.
    • Ensure proper guidance in International Shipping matters to all parties, and ensure Forwarding and Shipping arrangements, in line with best practice and optimum efficiency.
    • Advise and ensure strict compliance on Shipping documentation (Air & Sea) requirements and procedures in line with international and Nigerian Standard shipping policies.
    • Ensure timely pre-alert documentations are received from source.
    • Ensure proper regularization, amendment/correction are effected on pre-alert documents by forwarders/foreign suppliers before approval is given and cargo is shipped from source.
    • Properly collate all necessary and complete set of received and approved import shipping (Air and Sea) documents and forward application to Government approved Inspection agencies for RAR approval/issuance.
      Liaison with various Government agencies for import/export activities where required.
    • Participate in developing shipping strategy in co-operation with other members of the transit team taking into account the eventual synergy plans on dedicated projects.
    • Propose improvement and generation of the shipping section procedures and policies to the Manager.
    • Ensure maintenance of Database for tracking all shipments.
    • Monitor shipping trends on the international scene.
    • Data analysis and reporting.
    • Prepare weekly /monthly reports as appropriate.
    • Carry out any other duties that may be assigned by the Hierarchy

    Profile

    • A graduate of any Social Science discipline with at least 4 years’ experience in international trade / shipping in similar activities.
    • Good inter-personal skills.
    • Good computing software skills.

    Senior Corrosion Engineer M/F

    Job description

    • Thanks to its internationally recognized expertise in the field of oil and gas production unit operations, maintenance and also Renewable Energy market, SPIE Global Services Energy was selected to provide this activity on AMENAM PROJECT in Nigeria.
    • In this context, we are looking for competent and passionate professionals for a Senior Corrosion Engineer M/F.
    • This position is located OFFSHORE in NIGERIA on AMENAM in ROTATIONAL MODE 8x3 (8 weeks on site / 3 weeks at home). Based in the camp in Port Harcourt. 

    Job Description:

    • Prepare, review, and implement Corrosion & Prevention management philosophy.
    • Schedule and execute Corrosion Surveys and Studies and recommend the necessary remedial actions
    • Ensure that corrosion-monitoring operations are correctly performed as per TOTALENERGIES E&P specifications and best practice
    • Validate scope of works.
    • Review Corrosion-Monitoring and Inspection results regularly and assess together in view of providing a global evaluation of Integrity
    • Liaise with TOTALENERGIES Headquarters for corrosion matters with the aim of improving the physical integrity of Production Facilities
    • Investigate and analyze Facility malfunctions from the standpoint of Corrosion Evolutions and, in liaison with the Inspection Teams Onshore and Offshore, propose solutions to repair the equipment and prevent repetitions of the corrosion issues.
    • Supervise the CP inspector to ensure Cathodic Protection systems are effective and optimally maintained
    • Supervise the Investigation and analysis of Cathodic Protection results. Report any anomalies and propose solutions to prevent them.
    • From injection rates and results from bubble testing and coupons, define/modify pipeline cleaning programs and chemical injection rates in conjunction with production chemistry.
    • Provide technical recommendations for planned and Adhoc inspection reports for all corrosion related inspection findings
    • Follow up all corrosion related concerns in processes such as SMR.
    • Investigate LOPCs and implement the results to ensure a reduction in their trends along all sites.

    Profile

    We are primarily looking for a candidate who demonstrates the following skills:

    • A qualification in Corrosion Engineering (MSc or NACE Snr Corrosion Technologist or Equivalent).
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in Corrosion Engineer’s functions (internal and external corrosion), preferably in E&P.

    Education:

    • Minimum of 3 years in procurement of electrical and instrumentation equipment, preferably in the oil & gas, energy, or industrial sectors.
