    Portfolio Analyst

    Job Summary

    As Portfolio Analyst, you will support the team in investing in short & medium-long term instruments for our clients and our proprietary positions to achieve set objectives. In addition, you will also support the investment management function of the company, contributing to the formulation of investment strategies, product development, etc.

    Responsibilities

    • Demonstrate good knowledge of the Investment & Securities Act 2007 and other amendments thereof and SEC rules governing Fund Managers to better manage Mutual Funds (CIS), Institutional and Private client portfolios in line with the investment objectives and investment policy statement.
    • Deliver strong returns on portfolios managed within portfolio guidelines, risk limits and regulations.
    • Research and analyze investment opportunities and consider market conditions and economic trends to select the best assets for proactive investing.
    • Ensure investment decisions and portfolios are managed in line with their governing documentation, internal policies, and relevant regulations.
    • Ensure that investments align with Trust Deed and provide updates on policy changes affecting the funds on a periodic basis through the preparation and dissemination of Fact Sheets and other portfolio reports.
    • Contribute to investment strategy for the Funds through participation in the Fund Investment Committee, portfolio review meetings and client meetings
    • Monitor portfolio performance against set benchmarks/targets in a bid to outperform set benchmarks.
    • Maintain and update inventory records of securities with valuations where necessary.
    • Source flows from market participants on buy/sell opportunities for arbitrage opportunities.
    • Analyze investment industry and trends that could impact the investment portfolio or organization’s funding strategies.
    • Liaise with related departments and counterparties within and outside the group for seamless transaction processing.
    • Prepare periodic reports on activities as well as other external reports including clients’ portfolio reports, fact sheets, fund report to external investment committee in a timely manner.

    Requirements

    • Minimum 4 years portfolio management experience in an Asset Management firm
    • B.Sc in Economics, Finance, or a related field
    • Relevant professional certification such as ACCA, CFA, etc. is preferred.

    Risk Analyst

    Job Summary

    The Enterprise Risk Analyst will have overall responsibility for the planning, design, monitoring and implementation of risk management processes and programs.

    Responsibilities

    • Support and advice on policies, processes and procedures for managing operational risks in all of the Company’s products, activities, processes and systems.
    • Identify, assess, map and priorities operational risks inherent in all existing and new products, activities, processes and systems before implementation.
    • Ensure that there are business continuity and crisis management plans in place to minimize losses in the event of severe business disruptions. Ensure periodic testing of the contingency plans.
    • Maintain and enhance the enterprise-wide process, methodology, data collection tools and provide communications and education on its proper use
    • Establish self-testing programs to be used for the validation of the operating effectiveness of internal controls that ensure adherence to laws, rules, and regulations
    • Periodically review the asset liability management (ALM) policies, liquidity policies and guidelines for the company.
    • Measure and manage the interest rate and price risks in the traditional mortgage activities of the Company, with oversight from the Asset/Liability Committee (ALCO)

    Requirements

    • Minimum four (4) years' Enterprise Risk Management experience in the financial services industry.
    • First degree in a relevant field
    • Professional certification such as CFA, CIS, ACCA, ACA, RIMAN or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized professional body

    Group Sales Executive

    Job Summary

    Are you a Sales Executive with an entrepreneurial spirit, relevant industry and market experience, and demonstrated selling attributes and skills? If so, we are looking for a top-performing Sales Executive to join our team in uncovering, nurturing, and closing sales opportunities; and relationship management. Working closely with the Executive Office, Subsidiaries and Business Heads, you will focus on securing relationships with qualified targets, develop effective sales strategies and manage the sales and conversion process.

    Responsibilities

    • Leveraging executive level relationships to create and pursue selling opportunities.
    • Prospecting for potential new clients and turn this into increased business. 
    • Conducting sales meetings with clients, either virtually or by visits in person
    • Introducing, demonstrating, and familiarizing customers with products or services
    • Identifying and mobilising Investments from both individual and corporate entities.
    • Delivering quality client service by ensuring that client’s needs are met well and in a timely manner. 
    • Meeting potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging existing network.
    • Supporting creation of awareness, building relationships with key executives, and developing/pursuing leads. 
    • Supporting direct marketing campaigns - including following up on leads.
    • Playing an active role in managing the executive office group sales customer.`
    • Building and maintaining professional networks for engagement, marketing and sales origination.

    Requirements

    • HND or ND in business, marketing, accounting and other related courses.
    • Minimum of minimum of 3-5 years’ work experience gained in similar roles, especially in marketing and sale of financial products and services.
    • A higher qualification is an added advantage
