The Laboratory Analyst provides professional, technical, and competent advice on quality. The Laboratory Analyst is responsible for ensuring the quality of all incoming raw and packaging materials, overseeing finished product quality, and supervising all online operations within the organization.

This role reports to the QC Specialist

• The candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities. 
• To implement Food Safety policies and procedures on site and ensure the site is compliant with legislation. 
• Ensure objectives outlined in The Quality & Food Safety Statements are followed and maintained. 
• Follow standard routine and non-routine laboratory procedures and test methods. 
• Perform complex chemical tests on materials and samples as requested.
• Diligently log and analyze the data revealed by lab test.
• Perform maintenance on lab equipment by making calibrations, cleaning equipment, troubleshooting lab equipment to spot problems and report issues.
• Provide support in the analysis of all ongoing NPD projects in the factory/organization.
• Maintain records pertaining to NAFDAC, SON, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Labour, etc.
• Ensure all employees/contractors comply with Food Safety policies/local/national regulations.
• Ensure daily food safety tracker update.
• Ensure Zero Trade recall.

Qualification & Experience 

• Minimum of HND or B.Sc. in Food Technology, Biochemistry, Chemistry, Science Laboratory Technology. 
• Minimum of Three (3) - Five (5) years of experience as an Analyst in the manufacturing industry. 
• Broad knowledge of Food Safety / industrial manufacturing systems and practices is a prerequisite.
• Experience with Quality Control and Quality Assurance processes is essential.
• Knowledge of Regulatory Standards and compliance requirements
• Relevant certifications in Laboratory Practices and Quality Control are an added advantage.

This role is required to safely operate and maintain the blending plant to produce a consistent product of the right quality at optimum cost.

• This role reports to the Blending Supervisor. 
• The candidate will have the following duties and responsibilities. 
• Perform quality analysis and ensure process quality and productivity are achieved on your shift. 
• Implement and comply with the company’s safety, health & environment and procedures. 
• Monitor & control production processes on shift using the correct tools as per the MDN standards (OWS, 5S, etc)
• Interpret and implement production plan for shift. 
• Manage PIMS & POMS and take corrective action on negative trends. 
• Maintain safety & housekeeping standards.
• Use escalation procedures to ensure that the time to react is reduced. 
• Apply 5S standards and practices in the workplace, operate and control the MDN blending process according to the SOPs. 

Qualification & Experience 

• Minimum of OND from any reputable institution. 
• Technical/Trade Certificate related to technical operations. 
• Minimum Three (3) years of blending experience in the FMCG industry. 
• Knowledge of Operating and maintaining equipment and processes according to specifications and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to use own initiative with own with confidence, using judgment to escalate when necessary. 
• Ability to spot improvement opportunities fast.
